Alun Falconer(1923-1973)

Began as a production trainee with the New Zealand Film Unit. Worked as editor-writer for the Weekly Review documentary series. With Roger Mirams, he established the Pacific Film Unit in 1948. Briefly active as a journalist in Shanghai, witness to the Communist takeover of the city. In London from 1950, as film producer of training films for the National Coal Board Film Unit. Also writer of film and television screenplays.
