The supernatural drama debuted September 10, 2009 on The CW, running for eight seasons, 171 episodes, through March 10, 2017.

Bold and the Beautiful heartthrob Tanner Novlan is starring in the Hallmark Countdown To Christmas movie Debbie Macomber’s Joyful Mrs. Miracle. This time around, Rachel Boston is playing the angelic lead character. However, this is not his first Hallmark movie. In 2022, he starred along with Friday Night Lights alum Aimee Teegarden in Christmas Class Reunion.

The Women's Cancer Research Fund has announced their An Unforgettable Evening event will take place on April 10 in Beverly Hills.

An Unforgettable Evening is Wcrf’s flagship fundraising event featuring extraordinary honorees and tributes to cancer survivors and the memory of those impacted by cancer. For 25 years, this event has brought together leaders in entertainment, cancer research and corporate philanthropy to raise funds for pioneering cancer research conducted at leading medical and academic institutions in California and across the U.S.

The gala will return to the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, with proceeds from the event benefiting the Women’s Cancer Research Fund, a program of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (Bcrf). Wcrf was founded by Quinn Ezralow, Kelly Chapman Meyer, Jamie Tisch and the late Anne Douglas, Renette Ezralow and Marion Laurie.

Actress Nina Dobrev went skiing in Switzerland and held a mini reunion of ‘Vampire Diaries’ along the way. The actress (35) shared a post to Instagram that featured photos of the mountains. The pictures also included some lip-smacking meals and some shots of her and her former ‘Vampire Diaries’ co-star Kayla Ewell, reports ‘People’ magazine.

She wrote in the caption, “My new favourite place,” as she tagged a luxury Swiss hotel. In the pictures and the video, she and Ewell (38) can be seen posing in their skiing gear.

As per ‘People’, the actresses are also longtime friends. Ewell has spoken candidly about how supportive she is of White and Dobrev’s relationship. Speaking with ‘Poeple’ in 2022, Ewell said the couple are “jokesters” and are “so much fun together.”

The Vampire Diaries has long been one of the top supernatural drama shows of all time. The series ran for eight seasons. And even after it went off the air, the universe stayed alive through spinoff shows, novels, and comic books. Over the years, The Vampire Diaries has been at the center of many fan conspiracies and controversies. In a 2015 panel interview, two years before The Vampire Diaries went off the air, executive producer Caroline Dries opened up about why she and the other producers decided to destroy “The Other Side” in the series.

What is ‘The Other Side’ in ‘The Vampire Diaries’?

Studios typically try to hang on to props because they are a vital part of the history of shows like The Vampire Diaries and can even increase in value over time. However, the actors who use them usually care more about keeping a memento of their time spent in character than they do about the cost of the item.

Over the years, several actors have come forward to admit that they have taken home props. One of them was Paul Wesley, who kept Stefan’s daylight ring when Tvd ended in 2017.

The Vampire Diaries stuck to a staple of vampire lore by having its fanged characters get burned if they went outside during the day. However, the show also devised a simple solution to this problem so that its characters could walk in the sun—daylight rings.

Blood is a huge component of storytelling when it comes to vampires and werewolves. The Vampire Diaries had plenty of graphic shots requiring digital and practical effects such as blood. One of the show’s stars, Candice King, the fake blood during kiss scenes could be a challenge.

It took a long time before Stefan Salvatore, and Caroline Forbes succumbed to their feelings for one another. Caroline was the first one to have feelings for Stefan after having a crush on him since high school. They got close and became friends and each other’s support system throughout the seasons, and when Caroline’s mother died in season 6, Stefan realized how deep his feelings for Caroline ran.

However, by that time, Caroline had switched off her humanity, and it was up to Stefan to bring her back.

The CW’s Roswell, New Mexico season four episode 13 serves as both the season and series finale. Picking up seconds after the end of episode 12, “How It’s Going to Be“ begins with Clyde easily stopping Isobel and Max’s attack. Rosa (Amber Midthunder) concentrates on tuning in on Clyde’s frequency and manages to free herself from his restraint.

Rosa surprises Clyde by smashing him over the head with a board, which gives Max (Nathan Dean) time to prepare to use the blue flame. Unfortunately, Clyde also uses the flame and knocks everyone over before kidnapping Rosa and escaping in a car.

The #PodSquad discuss their next move and Bonnie suggests they need to destroy the portal before Clyde can use it. Michael (Michael Vlamis) thinks they should hold off on that drastic move and Max agrees.

Bad news for Netflix subscribers who keep The Vampire Diaries playing on a loop.

The long-running supernatural drama, which originally aired on The CW from 2009 to 2017, is no longer on the service. As of Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, all eight seasons (and 171 episodes) are available on HBO Max and Peacock (sign up here).

This next one is set to arrive on VOD in January and looks pretty cool. Written, directed by and starring Derek Ting, the film focuses on Jim Yung, a rejected CIA analyst, who has been exposed to an ancient 'dust' that transforms him into a super soldier that can communicate with aliens. When a secret organization works with him to discover why aliens have returned to Earth, the truth comes at a price. The sci-fi film also stars Michael Dorn, Kayla Ewell, Eve Mauro, and Teo Brines. The sets in this look great, but the rest of it still seems a bit sketchy.

Batwoman takes a leap into the paranormal this week as a new villain, Nocturna arrives as a serial killer that projects herself as a vampire that literally drains the blood out of her victims. It’s a unique take on a serial killer story and one that would fit much better in an October/Halloween episode than in February.

Nocturna (Kayla Ewell) is actually Natalia Knight, who was adopted as a child by a janitor working at a church. It just so happens Natalia has a rare blood disorder that prevents her from being exposed to sunlight and her kidneys have trouble cleaning her own blood, hence the reason she needs other people’s blood to stay alive. Nocturna could be an interesting villain/character but unfortunately, she isn’t given...

The Rookie returned from an 11-week break with bumper ratings. 

The highly anticipated midseason return had 4.9 million viewers and a 0.8 rating in the demo -- up 33% vs. the show's fall finale in the demo. 

These numbers also mark one-year highs for the ABC drama series. 

Granted, the series had a bigger lead-in than usual thanks to American Idol (7.5 million viewers/1.4 rating). 

Still, these numbers are excellent for the Nathan Fillion-led police drama. 

Idol was down just a tenth from last week's premiere, but still dominated the night.

Vampire Diaries vet Kayla Ewell is back to being a bloodsucker: The actress, who played human-turned-vamp Vicki Donovan on the aforementioned CW drama, will guest-star on Batwoman as the vampiric DC Comics villain Nocturna, EW.com reports.

The baddie will prey on Gotham’s residents in the Feb. 23 episode to sustain her need for human blood caused by a rare disease. Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley are setting the record straight on their reported feud. After Nina denied having a rift with her former Vampire Diaries costar, the two reunited in Spain to poke fun at the reports, and Elena and Stefan would be so proud!

Former The Vampire Diaries co-stars Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley have responded to reports that they didn't get along on the set of The CW hit.

Dobrev appeared on the Directionally Challenged Podcast back in June.

It was hosted by former Vampire Diaries stars Candice King and Kayla Ewell, and she opened up about not getting along with Wesley on during the show's early days.

“Paul and I didn’t get along at the beginning of the show,” Dobrev said at the time.

“I respected Paul Wesley; I didn’t like Paul Wesley. I remember everyone would walk up to me after the show aired and they’d be like, ‘Are you and Paul dating in real life?’ because everyone thought that we had such good chemistry."

She continued, "I realize now that there’s a fine line between love and hate, and we despised each other so much that it read as love.

Paul Wesley has finally addressed the claims that he did not get along with his The Vampire Diaries co-star, Nina Dobrev.

Wesley played Stefan Salvatore, and Dobrev played Elena Gilbert on The CW smash, and for the first few seasons, the characters were in a relationship.

“I think the point that Nina was making, and I’ll totally back her up on this, is that we totally clashed [the] first couple years in terms of just getting on each other’s nerves, and then developed this wonderful friendship,” Wesley told reporters at the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Thursday, August 1.

“So it’s like this nice, happy ending.”

The Vampire Diaries concluded back in 2017, and while the show's conclusion was all about Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev), it was not always that way.

All the way back in 2009 when The CW drama debuted, it was about the relationship between Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) and Elena.

If you watch The Vampire Diaries online, you know that Stelena's chemistry was off the charts during those early days of the hit drama.
