- Karl Etlinger was born on October 16, 1879 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary. He was an actor and writer, known for Liebeswalzer (1930), Die Fledermaus (1931) and The Ringer (1932). He was married to Margarethe Horn and Maria Musehold. He died on May 8, 1946 in Berlin, Germany.

- Balding, heavy-set character actor, who was a familiar presence in German films of the 1920's and 30's. Best remembered for his roles in The Joyless Street (1925), Quax, der Bruchpilot (1941)) and The Punch Bowl (1944). He also had a distinguished career on stage in Berlin. His wife, who was half-Jewish, was murdered by the Nazis at the Ravensbrück concentration camp in March 1942.
