Mark T. Elliott was raised in Royal Oak, Michigan where he was inspired by his photographer father to shoot student films around Metro Detroit. During this time, Mark supported himself by selling antiques at his friend's shop and delivering flowers throughout Southeast Michigan.
Collaborating with fellow Michigan filmmakers Daniel Casey (Fast 9) and the Pierce Brothers (The Wretched), Mark produced Real Detroit Weekly: The Music Show, a weekly variety program focused on the Motor City's music scene, as well as Dead/Undead, an ultra-low-budget feature film shot in northern Michigan, which sold to international territories.
Following a move to California, he graduated from California State University, Northridge; wrote and directed For You, an Official Selection of the Santa Barbara Film Festival; and assisted actor, producer, and director Fisher Stevens on the Academy Award-winning documentary The Cove.
