Pete Elia graduated cum laude from Loyola Marymount University in 1991
where he studied music, recording, and film production. He started
professionally as a scoring assistant and then scoring mixer, first at
Evergreen Studios (1992) and then at Westwind Media studios, where he
served on staff from 1995 through 2010. He joined the staff as a
re-recording mixer at Technicolor Sound Services at Paramount Studios in 2010.
Pete has worked in all facets of sound post production for television and film, including music recording and mixing (records and scoring), ADR and voice cast recording (film, t.v., and animation), foley and original sound effects recording, and final dubbing of dialog, music, sound effects, and foley (TV and film).
Starting in 1997, he has served exclusively as a re-recording mixer for broadcast television and film projects. Pete is currently mixing on the dub stage as the dialog and music mixer in a crew of two.
