Hosted by Dolly Parton alongside co-hosts Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett, the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards was a two-hour concert event livestreamed globally on Prime Video tonight from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

One of the highlights of the show was industry veteran Miranda Lambert receiving the Entertainer of the Year award. What’s so special about this win in particular is that it qualifies her for the coveted Triple Crown Award. Her two wins tonight bring her total ACM Awards count to 37, more than any artist in ACM Awards history.

Lainey Wilson led the night in total wins with three, followed by Lambert and Carly Pearce with two wins a piece.

At the 2022 Academy of Country Music Awards, Morgan Wallen took home Album of the Year while Miranda Lambert won Entertainer of the Year.

Meanwhile, Lainey Wilson and Carly Pearce were the only nominees to win more than once, with Pearce taking home Female Artist of the Year and sharing a win for Music Event of the Year, and Wilson winning the ACM awards for New Female Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.

Wallen won the ACM award for “Dangerous: The Double Album,” released in early 2021 just before his career took a hit after he was videotaped using the n-word during a late night drinking session with friends. That appeared to be on his mind when he thanked “those who showed me grace along the way” during his acceptance speech.

The 57th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards nominations were announced on Thursday morning, February 10. The winners will be announced during a ceremony held on Monday, March 7, but unlike previous years when the awards show has aired on CBS on broadcast television, these will be exclusively livestreamed on Amazon Prime. It was a big night for Chris Stapleton at the 55th annual Country Music Assn. awards Wednesday, as the singer took home Album of the Year and Single of the Year among his five trophies overall.

Stapleton won Song of the Year and Single of the Year for “Starting Over” and took album of the year for his record of the same name. He also won trophies as producer on the single and album.

“I want to say thank you to everybody that listened to the record, and everybody that listens to music,” Stapleton said from the stage.

Stapleton is also nominated in the male vocalist and Entertainer of the Year categories.

Update: Luke Combs won the Entertainer of the Year honors, the biggest award of the evening.

In his new video for “Gone,” the singer earns easygoing, natural laughs by gamely casting himself as doomed TV characters. Dierks Bentley has only won three Academy of Country Music Awards since breaking onto the scene 15 years ago. One of those victories was for New Artist of the Year in 2004, and the other two were for Video of the Year for “Drunk on a Plane” (2015) and “Forever Country” (2017). He’s nominated again this year for “Black,” so can he win this prize for the third time in four years?

“Drunk on a Plane” was a comic video set on a raucous airliner where Bentley played both the pilot and a passenger on the party airliner. “Forever Country” was quite different, and he was far from alone: the video featured dozens of country artists performing a medley of “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” “On the Road Again” and “I Will Always Love You” in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Country Music Association Awards.

Three of tonight's top Cma Awards nominees have been given an early taste of victory. Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley all came away winners on ABC's "Gma" this morning with wins for Musical Event of the Year (Urban and Lambert, for their "Fuse" duet "We Were Us") and Music Video of the Year (Bentley's "Drunk on a Plane," which also netted director Wes Edwards a trophy).
