If you’ve watched the Starz drama, you were probably blown away by how well showrunner Laura Eason adapted Lisa Taddeo’s novel. I love book-to-screen adaptations, and Three Women was one of the best I’ve watched.

While Shailene Woodley and Betty Gilpin headlined the series, DeWanda Wise and Gabrielle Creevy also gave powerful performances.

Since its beginning, Three Women has kept viewers engrossed with Lina, Sloane, Maggie, and Gia’s relationship journeys and sexual awakenings. This series features quality writing, impressive acting, and beautiful cinematography.

Exclusive: A+E Studios is getting into business with Curate Management and its founder Britton Rizzio. The studio has signed a first-look deal with the company to develop scripted series for broadcast and streaming in the U.S. and international space. Curate says the deal reinforces the company’s commitment to producing content that reflects unique perspectives and stories.

Curate, one of the few female-led-and-run literary management companies in town, was founded by film and TV literary manager Rizzio in 2021 with a focus on creators in film, television and books. The company has seen significant growth with Literary Manager Courtney Conwell joining as Partner and the hire of Becca Rodriguez as Book and IP Manager. In addition, Curate acquired Zipa Entertainment bringing Partner Sofia Escallon into the fold. However, an individual with knowledge told IndieWire that negotiations for the rights to the show were still underway.

The WGA East’s second Showrunner Academy gets underway today, with the 31-member class taking part in a program designed to support television writer-producers, upper-level writers and new show creators in honing the skills necessary to become successful showrunners and TV industry leaders.

The Academy, which provides instruction from current showrunners and other industry professionals on a wide range of topics, is led by Diana Son and Frank Pugliese.

Speer received WGA and PGA award nominations this year for her work on Apple TV’s The Morning Show, where she served as supervising producer on the first two seasons of the Jennifer Aniston/Reese Witherspoon drama series. Speer broke into television writing as an assistant in the writers rooms for NBC’s Friday Night Lights and Parenthood before going on to write for three seasons of A&e’s Bates Motel starring Vera Farmiga. She later wrote for Youtube’s original drama series Impulse directed by Doug Liman.

Exclusive: Curate Management founder Britton Rizzio has promoted TV and film literary manager Courtney Conwell to partner, Deadline has learned.

Rizzio formed Curate in November to provide a hands-on and global approach to representation and saw a coveted roster of clients align with the new venture, one of the few female-owned literary management firms in Hollywood.

“Russian Doll” returns this spring, and Netflix has released some first looks photos for the upcoming season.

Season 2 will be set four years after Nadia (Natasha Lyonne) and Alan (Charlie Barnett) escaped mortality’s time loop. New episodes will follow the pair as they pass through an unexpected time portal located in Manhattan — causing both to face their pasts.

The show’s first season also starred Greta Lee, Yul Vazquez and Elizabeth Ashley. Sharlto Copley (“Powers”), Annie Murphy (“Schitt’s Creek”) and Carolyn Michelle Smith (“Colony”) will join the cast for Season 2.

Lyonne will return as showrunner and executive producer. Talk show host Ziwe, playwright Hilary Bettis and journalist Gabriel Sherman are among the 30 participants set for the WGA East’s first Showrunner Academy program.
