He was born in Berlin, Germany in 1975 and went to a boarding school,
from which he graduated in 1995. After receiving his high school
diploma from the "Schulfarm Insel Scharfenberg" he successfully went
through his civil service from 1996-1997. During his apprenticeship to
become a carpenter he realized that his skills were better off in the
film industry, where he started working in April 2000. First he worked
as a carpenter and an assistant to the property master for a weekly tv
series called "Unser Charly". After that he continued working as a
production driver for movies. In Sept/Oct 2000 he held the position of
a second boom operator for the movie Vaja con Dios.
