- According to a short new bit in Utah's Parowan Times (7 July 1950, Page 2) Faith said that her surname rhymed with "berg," so it would be pronounced "Domerg". That would be a slightly Americanized pronunciation of the original French name (she was from New Orleans), which would have been pronounced more like "Domairg". Whether her family had already Americanized the pronunciation by the time she was born, or whether she was simplifying the pronunciation for her fans on the eve of the release of her first major film, is (over 70 years later) hard to determine.

- From late 1930s-early 1940s lived across the street from Helen Talbot and her family, on S. Carmelina Avenue in Brentwood, CA. They were also in the same class at University High School in West Los Angeles.
