Rita Ora is opening up about working with Carrie Fisher on her final movie before she died in 2016 after suffering from a heart attack.
Fisher’s final project, Wonderwell, was released in June. The magical coming-of-age story set in Italy follows a young girl named Violet (newcomer Kiera Milward) after she becomes the face of a world-renowned designer’s (Ora) fashion label. When Violet wanders into a forest near the village she and her family are staying in, she meets the “fabled” witch of the forest, Hazel, portrayed by the Star Wars actress.
Ora recalled working with Fisher as “an amazing experience,” adding, “I’m really actually surprised and happy that this film’s finally getting the light that it deserves,” the singer told People. “To say I’ve been in scenes with Carrie Fisher, it’s insane. She’s an icon — a legend.”

Drew Barrymore is celebrating the 25th anniversary of "Ever After." On Tuesday, the talk-show host reunited with costars Melanie Lynskey and Megan Dodds on "The Drew Barrymore Show," and the trio relived some of their fondest memories from making the movie. "We're just here in a time machine, and we're back 25 years ago," Barrymore said. "I literally can't even believe that I get to be here with my sisters - my stepsisters." Lynskey and Dodds were both dressed in their evil-stepsister costumes, while Barrymore wore a fairy costume similar to the one she wore in the 1998 movie.

Earlier this week, I took a look at Ethan Hawke’s latest directorial effort. Today, we’ll be looking at his newest starring role. The movie in question is Juliet, Naked, which is based on the charming Nick Hornby book of the same name. This week, the adaptation hits theaters, offering up something mellow and nice for audiences. Hawke getting to play an elusive rock star would suggest a far harder edged affair than this, but it makes for a nice little change of pace. You won’t necessarily see any raves about this kind of flick, but you need them. They’re comfort food, cinematically speaking. The film is described, via IMDb, as such: “Juliet, Naked is the story of Annie (the long-suffering girlfriend of Duncan) and her unlikely transatlantic romance with once revered, now faded, singer-songwriter, Tucker Crowe, who also happens to be the subject of Duncan’s musical obsession.

"Do you think there's any way back for me?" Roadside Attractions has released the first trailer for an indie comedy titled Juliet, Naked, adapted from Nick Hornby's novel of the same name. This premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, but feels much more like a mainstream comedy than an indie flick. Rose Byrne stars in this film as a woman in a relationship with a chummy guy, played by Chris O'Dowd, who is obsessed with one particular band. When their relationship falls apart, the band's lead musician re-appears after 25 years and connects with Byrne, who falls into a relationship with him, making things extra awkward with her ex. Ethan Hawke stars as the musician who is tired of attention, and the supporting cast includes Megan Dodds, Jimmy O. Yang, Lily Newmark, and Azhy Robertson. It's a sweet little film, basically a comedy about "life's second chances...

Over a year after they parted ways following the series finale of "30 Rock," Tina Fey and Jane Krakowski are teaming up for another NBC comedy.
Krakowski just joined "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," which is being co-produced by Fey and fellow "30 Rock" showrunner Robert Carlock. The series follows Kimmy (played by "The Office" alum Ellie Kemper), who's recently escaped from a religious cult and moved to New York City to experience real life for the first time.
Krakowski will appear in a supporting, recurring role as an uptight Upper West Side mother for whom Kimmy nannies. The actress joined the project after her Fox pilot, "Dead Boss," was not picked up to series. She replaced Megan Dodds, who played the character in one scene in the "Kimmy" pilot; the scene will be re-shot.

They say that all good things must come to an end, when CSI: New York came to an end it may have been a good series, but felt somewhat like the lonely third sibling compared to Las Vegas and Miami. This isn’t to say that CSI: NY was a bad show, but with the release of CSI: NY – Complete Season 9: The Final Season there was a feeling that it had run its course, though seeing it end was still a sad thing.
Season nine of CSI: NY begins looking at Mac’s recent brush with death and the effects that it has had on his life. Leaving him with memory problems he has to deal with this disability while still having to run the crime lab the best he can. With his love interest Christine (Megan Dodds) a huge support to him, her kidnapping also gives the chance...

It’s a 30 Rock reunion! I’ve learned that 30 Rock alumna Jane Krakowski has joined the cast of upcoming NBC comedy series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, from 30 Rock creator/star/executive producer Tina Fey and executive producer Robert Carlock. Krakowski will recur on the project, starring Ellie Kemper as the wide-eyed Kimmy who, after 15 years of living in a cult, decides it’s time to reclaim her life and heads to New York. Krakowski will play a rich Upper West Side mom who hires Kimmy as a nanny. I hear the casting came together very quickly after Fox last Wednesday opted not to proceed with Krakowski’s comedy pilot Dead Boss. The character only has one scene in the pilot where it was played by Megan Dodds. After swiftly closing a deal with Krakowski, I hear the scene was reshot and will be featured in the trailer for the series at today’s NBC upfront presentation.

Gary Sinise is holding out hope that it isn't the end for "CSI: NY," but he's content with where the show stands for now.
The CBS crime drama ended its ninth season in February, and the network hasn't indicated yet whether it will be renewed. While Sinise is no stranger to being in that position ("We've had that three years in a row now"), he's satisfied that the show's fans have been given some sense of closure, since his Detective Mac Taylor proposed to girlfriend Christine (Megan Dodds). And yes, she said, "Yes."

It's not the first time "CSI" series have crossed over, but a couple of firsts are still involved.
Gary Sinise's Detective Mac Taylor leaves the Big Apple to visit his girlfriend Christine (Megan Dodds) in Las Vegas as a new story begins on CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" Wednesday (Feb. 6). The problem: When he arrives, she can't be found. The mystery comes to involve D.B. Russell (Ted Danson), leading him to follow Taylor back East as the tale concludes on "CSI: NY" Friday (Feb. 8).
Though Sinise was involved in two tales that merged his series with the now-finished "CSI: Miami," he's never been on the set of the Vegas-set parent drama before, And since Danson joined "CSI" only last season, this is his first opportunity to visit a related show, and also to work with fellow Emmy winner and acting veteran Sinise.
"He's such a sweet man," Danson tells Zap2it.

As for Negahban, CSI: NY fans will see him this February when he plays the part of a lifetime criminal. His character is named Zane Kalim, reports TV Guide, and take note because his appearance coincides with a major event for the series.

Gary Sinise expects it to be deja vu all over again when filming on "CSI: NY" wraps soon.
Production on the CBS crime drama ended last spring with the cast and crew uncertain whether they'd be returning for another year, and Season 9 -- which continues Friday (Jan. 4) with a new episode -- is destined to finish the same way. The finale is scheduled earlier than usual, Feb. 22, and Sinise expects to remain in the dark about the show's future then.
"We won't know anything," the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning veteran of plays and such movies as "Forrest Gump" and "Ransom" predicts to Zap2it. "We may find out something before May, and we may go right to the wire again, which is what we did last year. They called me an hour before it hit the Internet to say, 'You're coming back,' and I assume it'll be that way again this year.

We've got our eye on another fairytale remake, with today's news that Cate Blanchett may be lending her signature ice-cold gaze to the part of Cinderella's evil stepmother in Disney's upcoming untitled project. According to The Wrap, the "Hobbit" star is the first in talks to join Mark Romanek's live-action rendition on the classic tale.
Before you roll your eyes at the thought of yet another take on happily ever after, consider the plot, which follows a doomed politically arranged marriage plot involving a prince and, of course, Cinderella. With Blanchett and Romanek on board, we're thinking this one won't involve pumpkin carriages and talking mice.
With that said, this won't be the first twist added to the preexisting cookie-cutter storyline—from the Muppets to gender role reversals, we break down some of the most unexpected and wacky twists we've seen in Cinderella's movie past.

Here’s one way to celebrate the Chinese New Year for 2013. Plan to watch a CSI and CSI: NY two-part crossover set to premier this coming February.
Can your television handle Gary Sinise and Ted Danson together?
This is how it will all go down. CSI starts things off the right way, initiating the storyline during the first hour. The all new episode will feature a visit from CSI: NY‘s lead detective, Mac Taylor, as acted by Gary Sinise, when he travels to Las Vegas to surprise his girlfriend Christine, acted by Megan Dodds. Romance kicks of the crossover, but a possible homicide fuels it from there. Christine winds up missing! Surely Ted Danson’s D.B. Russell can assist with the search.

Gary Sinise has insisted that CSI: NY deserved to be renewed. The fate of the CSI franchise was in doubt until earlier this month, when CBS renewed NY and cancelled fellow spinoff CSI: Miami.
