Acapulco has been renewed for Season 4 at Apple TV+ and change is on the horizon for Máximo, both past (Enrique Arrizón) and present (Eugenio Derbez). News of the show’s renewal comes about two months after Season 3’s finale dropped on the streamer, setting up plenty of interesting avenues for the characters fans have come to love from this bilingual comedy series. Created by Austin Winsberg, Eduardo Cisneros, and Jason Shuman for television, Acapulco is inspired by the film How to Be a Latin Lover. The show tells the story of Máximo in the past and present, focusing on his time spent as an employee at the resort known as Las Colinas in the 1980s, juxtaposed with his present-day return to the show’s titular town. In Season 3, Máximo returned to Las Colinas and barely recognized what he saw, while in the ’80s, his younger counterpart was climbing the ladder...

“Acapulco” will be returning for a fourth season at Apple TV+.
The comedy series, which hails from Lionsgate Television, has been renewed for Season 4, the streamer announced Tuesday. The series stars Eugenio Derbez, who also executive produces the show, as Maximo, who recalls his rise to success via a younger version of himself (Enrique Arrizón), who climbs the ranks at Las Colinas Resort.
The news comes just over a month after “Acapulco” debuted its Season 3 finale, which series cocreator Austin Winsberg told TheWrap was crafted carefully in case the show didn’t receive another season order.
“We were also careful to have a thin needle to thread in case we don’t get to Season 4,” Winsberg told TheWrap. “We wanted it to be close-ended enough that it feels like there’s some satisfaction to the story and some answers, while also leaving a lot of doors open for more stories to come.

Prime Video has confirmed it is making a UK version of international format Last One Laughing.
Last year, we told you the Amazon streamer was exploring a British version of the show, which has versions on Prime Video in numerous territories, and it’s now going ahead following a tender process.
Comedian and presenter Jimmy Carr will host the show, which will run exclusive on Prime Video around the world in 2025.
In the series, a group of 10 British comedians will spend the day in a living room-style studio together trying to make the others laugh. At the first laugh, the competitor is cautioned (yellow carded), while a second eliminates the player from the game (red carded), and the only way to communicate with the outside is a telephone controlled by the host. The rules are simple: laugh and you’re out.

The expression “feelgood” is usually just an indicator of cheerful and positive content, but don’t forget it also works as an imperative. As in, you better feel good about this movie or its admirers will get very cross and maybe call you names. Such may well be the case with this Mexican comedy-drama about an unorthodox schoolteacher (winningly played by Eugenio Derbez); it is a film that a certain constituency of viewers is going love so passionately that woe betide any who might suggest that it is profoundly manipulative and unabashedly sentimental.
That said, there’s no gainsaying the skills of director Christopher Zalla and the cast, which is why, by the end, Radical earns the tears of bittersweet joy it yanks...

One of the highest-grossing animated productions of all time, Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” has already reached a key milestone: $1 billion at the worldwide box office.
A substantial chunk of that impressive total came from Spanish-speaking Latin America, where the film is known as “IntensaMente 2.” The title used in those countries literally means “Intensely,” but it’s also a play on the words “Intense” and “Mind.” Meanwhile, the name in Spain, “Del Revés,” is a less ingenious, verbatim translation of “Inside Out.” Dubs and titles for most movies, and definitely for Disney films, differ in Spain and Latin America.
In Mexico, a country with a long-standing movie-going culture, “Inside Out 2” has already amassed a whopping $81.8 million (around 1.5 billion pesos), surpassing “Avengers: Endgame.” The animated sequel is now the second most profitable film of all time in Mexico, only behind “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” ($85.3 million). Meanwhile, Mexico’s...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Acapulco Season 3, Episode 10, “Burning Down the House.”] Acapulco‘s third season has come to a close, and with it a chapter in the Las Colinas story as the installment saw Don Pablo (Damián Alcázar) and Diane (Jessica Collins) ousted from their positions as Alejandro Vera (Jaime Camil) took ownership of the resort, recruiting young Maximi (Enrique Arrizon) as Head of Operations in the ’80s. Ultimately, this was the defining event of Maximo’s young life as he had to live with the consequences of his actions, one of which was revealing Don Pablo’s secret ledger to Alejandro. As his decision also leads to a fracture in his relationship with Julia (Camila Perez), in the future, Maximo’s (Eugenio Derbez) efforts to revitalize Las Colinas could mean the mending of his relationship with her in the present. Only time will tell for certain. Below, series co-creator Austin Winsberg breaks down...

You know you love her, and why wouldn't you?
Eva Longoria is not only a talented actress who chooses projects that speak not just to her amazing acting talent but resonate with her heart in a way that shows in her performances.
She may have gotten recognition from her role on a drama-dripping soap opera with a cast of actors who have no right to be as attractive as they are talented, but Longoria has proven she is so much more than a pretty face and a smile that could melt steel.
With wins from the Screen Actors Guild and the People's Choice, the actress is a familiar face who has been entertaining folks since the start of the millennium.
If this fantastic woman hasn't won you over yet, do a quick search of her to see how she brings thousands of dollars to charities and foundations that help impoverished communities and immigrants worldwide.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Acapulco Season 3, Episode 10, “Burning Down the House.”] Acapulco‘s third season has officially come to a close, and with it comes the dawn of a new era at Las Colinas as viewers finally saw Maximo (Enrique Arrizon) put in charge of the resort after revealing Pablo’s (Damián Alcázar) ledger to Alejandro Vera (Jaime Camil). Over three seasons and a total of 34 episodes, Ted Lasso brought us moments of comedy mixed with genuine emotion. It was the ultimate feel-good show, filled with well-rounded characters, great dialogue and a story of hope that we could all get behind.
Okay, it may have gotten a little cheesy at times. But it was a show that knew what it was and didn't take itself too seriously. Balancing that with sincerity was one of its strengths and helped the show earn a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
But it ain't coming back.
However, if Ted Lasso was right up your alley, this Apple TV+ series, which has a 93% rating on Rt, is a must-see.

It’s been a minute since we checked in on Máximo, old and young, and Las Colinas. Actually, it’s been like 16 months in the real world, which is why it was a wise choice for the “Acapulco” Season 3 trailer to open with the exposition it did.
Máximo (Eugenio Derbez): “Hugo, do you remember where my rags-to-riches life story left off? It all started with a job as Las Colinas. I told you about my big promotion and Julia and I getting together — but there’s still so much more I haven’t told you.”
Smash Cut To: Season 2’s big cliffhanger moment. Oh that’s right, (old) Máximo has a grownup daughter we didn’t even know about. The trailer doesn’t really get into that storyline, but certainly the season will.
