Her image was used as a symbol on the nose of 14 747's. Those 14 planes were the first planes of what became Virgin Atlantic. The symbol was called the Scarlet Lady. It was Jean Dean.

Jean was 15 and working as an usher in a Chicago theater; where she met an agent. He referred her to an artist that needed a model. The artist was Alberto Vargas. He paid her hourly for her time. She worked for him for four years.

When she first moved to California she got a job picking peaches.
