Arden Cripe(1898-1963)

Born Arden Bimm Cripe on 17 Feb 1889. Cripe was a film property master for forty-seven years. He spent most of his career working with the Samuel Goldwyn Studios and had worked on a few Will Rogers films as well. Arden made many props for movies. If he didn't make the needed prop he was always able to find something that would work. Some of his props were miniature models. At the beginning of Voodoo Island (1957) his miniature hotel model starts off the movie. Arden's first wife and the mother of his two sons was Beatrice Duce, born ca. 1900 in Virginia and died 9 October 1936 in Los Angeles County, California. Arden and Beatrice were married 22 September 1920 in Los Angeles County, California. She was the daughter of Herbert Cecil Duce and Hilda Sarah Brooks. Arden died on 27 Oct 1963 at the age of 64.
