Son of Charles J. Correll, who played "Andy" in the radio series, "Amos and Andy". He worked as a gag writer for comedian Harold Lloyd toward the end of Lloyd's career and also helped to put all of his old films in order and preserve them as well. He served as a consultant on the Kevin Brownlow-David Gill _Harold Lloyd: The Third Genius (1989) (TV)_ episode of American Masters (1985).
