- Didi Conn was born Edith Bernstein, July 13, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York, she is memorable for her role as "Frenchy" in Grease. With over 40 film and television credits, we should acknowledge Didi's work in The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang (1980), Grease 2 (1982), Benson, Shining Time Station (1989), and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999). Since her son Daniel had been diagnosed with the disorder, on November 13, 2008, she was named "national celebrity spokesperson" for Autism Speaks. - As the mother of an autistic son, she was named national celebrity spokesperson for Autism Speaks in 2008. She has also been a spokesperson for the National Alliance for Autism Research, now part of Autism Speaks. She has performed at benefits Foundation for Education Children with Autism (FECA).
