Joely Collins is an internationally recognized, award-winning producer, director and actress. She has worked with major studios, broadcasters and networks and has created, delivered and sold content to global markets.
As a producer, Joely's film Never Broken (2022), recently won Best Short at Lady Filmmakers Festival in LA and at the Benelux International Film Festival. The film continues to screen on the festival circuit, with distribution to come.
Her second feature, Becoming Redwood (2012), won "Best Canadian Film" at the Edmonton International Film Festival and "Most Popular Canadian Film" at the Vancouver International Film Festival. Joely's digital series Coded (2015), has won over 20 awards internationally and was named one of the "Top Ten Series to Watch" by BuzzFeed. Joely executive produced and co-starred in the romantic comedy Almost Heaven (2006), a Canadian, Scottish co-production featuring Donal Logue and Tom Conti. This was her first time collaborating with her musician father Phil Collins, who wrote the theme song for the film.
Career highlights as an actress began with dramatic studies at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England. By the young age of 22, she was named Canada's "Best Leading Actress", earning a Gemini Award (Canada's Emmy) for her television role as "Rachael Langston" in the highly acclaimed television series Madison (1993). Joely played Legz, the futuristic tattoo artist in the Robin Williams feature The Final Cut (2004) and starred as Gillian Guess in the feature film The Love Crimes of Gillian Guess (2004) by director Bruce McDonald, which opened at the Toronto International Film Festival and played to a "turn away" audience at Berlinale.
Born in Vancouver, raised on Canada's West Coast and in England, Joely founded Million Faces Productions to produce high-quality films, drama series and unscripted content that feature strong female leads or filmmakers. She works on multi-region projects throughout Canada, US and Europe.
Joely is an advocate for human rights and the ethical treatment of animals.
