Catherine Tate’s latest sitcom Queen Of Oz has been given the chop after a single series, the BBC have confirmed.
Catherine Tate is currently riding high on the huge success of the long awaited Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Specials. Written by returning showrunner Russell T Davies, the episodes saw Tate reprise her role as Donna Noble opposite David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor.

The premiere of season 3 of A Place to Call Home on Foxtel's SoHo has attracted a a consolidated cumulative audience of 500,000 viewers.
According to OzTam figures, that ranks as the third most watched drama series in subscription TV history, trailing Game of Thrones and Wentworth.
The Sunday September 27 broadcast of A Place to Call Home scored. an overnight consolidated audience of 255,000, the most watched program ever on SoHo and the fourth most popular series on pay TV this year behind Game of Thrones, Selling Houses Australia and The Flash.

A new trailer has been released for the upcoming drama Tracks.
Directed by John Curran, Tracks stars Mia Wasikowska as Robyn Davidson, who leaves her city life when she decides to go on a solo trek through 1,700 miles of Australian desert with only her dog and four camels for company.
Tracks also features Girls star Adam Driver as National Geographic photographer Rick Smolan, who begins to catalogue her voyage.
Tracks is based on Davidson's memoir of her experience and is adapted into a screenplay by Marion Nelson.
It also stars Melanie Zanetti, Robert Coleby, Jessica Tovey and Emma Booth.
Wasikowska has previously starred in films including Stoker, Only Lovers Left Alive and Alice in Wonderland.
The biographical drama opens in UK cinemas on April 25. No Us dates have been announced.

Wolf Creek star John Jarratt is directing his first feature, StalkHer, a gritty black comedy in which he co-stars with Kaarin Fairfax, on the Gold Coast.
Directing oneself can.t be easy but the degree of difficulty is even greater here because Jarratt.s character is tied to a chair for most of the film.
The screenplay is by Kris Maric, who is partnered with Craig Kocinski and Jarratt in production company Ozpix Entertainment.
