- Michael Clarke, a native of Spokane, Washington, spent time in three well-known bands of the 60s and 70s. He was the drummer in the original lineup of The Byrds (1965-67), country-rock pioneers The Flying Burrito Brothers (1969-1972) and Firefall (1975-1981). Along the way, Michael developed talent as an artist, and some of his paintings, mostly landscapes, have been shown at a number of prestigious art galleries. After Firefall, Michael joined Jerry Jeff Walker's touring band for awhile, then for most of the rest of his life, he was involved with various configurations of the Tribute to The Byrds bands, along with Gene Clark, Rick Roberts, John York and others.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Bill Golden
