- After studying at Eton, Jeremy Child worked for a short while in the City of London but left at his earliest opportunity, which was a disappointment to his father, who'd worked in the Foreign Office, and had hoped that his son would join the Guards. To please his father Jeremy had an interview for the Guards but when he was asked why he wanted to join he said 'I don't' and was told Well that's the end of your military career. He then went to drama school which was where he learned to fend for himself and to lose his somewhat posh accent. When his father died in the mid '70s Jeremy inherited his baronetcy, becoming Sir Jeremy, a title that he never used. He had a daughter Melissa from his first marriage and a daughter, Leonora and a son, Alexander from his second.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Tonyman 5
