- Victoria Charters, daughter of William Wallace Stewart Charters (an engineer and world renown expert in the field of solar energy and renewable energy sources) and Sheila Charters (a nurse, accountant and homemaker), was born in Melbourne, Australia February 15, 1966. Her father is Scottish, born in Shanghai and her mother is English.
She spent the early years of her life traveling and living around the world with her parents as her Academic father opted for the sabbatical leave options his work offered. They lived in Montreal, Canada; Marseilles, France and Fort Collins, Colorado.
Victoria's first love was dance, but she took up drama as well, encouraged by an 8th grade English teacher, at Presbyterian Ladies College (an all girls school), who cast her in the role of Hamlet.
She continued to explore her interest in acting and writing while a student at University of Melbourne, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Film. After graduation (in 1987), she moved between Melbourne and Sydney, working extensively in theater including St. Martins Youth Arts Centre and La Mama and performing weekly with her Improv team in Theatresports. Television roles included parts on Neighbours (1985) and Boys from the Bush (1991).
She moved to Los Angeles 1994, studied with Michael Shurtleff in Hollywood for the summers of 1994 and 1995, and graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, West 1997.
From 1999-2001 she covered numerous red carpet events, celebrity interviews and Hollywood Premieres as an on-camera-host/producer for fox.com, Nirve TV and Load TV.
Film highlights include I Heard the Mermaids Singing (2008) (Winner: Silver Medal for Excellence, Park City Film Music Festival, Winner: Best Narrative Short, Great Lakes Film Festival), Angels Die Slowly (2010) filmed in post Katrina New Orleans, and Death of a Saleswoman (2006) (Winner: Best Direction of a Feature Film, Bare Bones International Film Festival; Winner: Best Feature Film, Gem City Film Festival).

Victoria also originated the role of Mona in the new musical by Clyde Derrick Angel's Flight for Write Act Repertory Theatre, Los Angeles. Victoria played Baptista (a cross-dressed role) in Santa Barbara Shakespeare's production of Taming of the Shrew. Victoria performed the title role in the play Hallie, about theater legend Hallie Flannigan, by playwright Claudia Hoag McGarry.
Victoria has performed improv and sketch-comedy in various groups in Australia and America, most recently with SB improv. She performs stand-up comedy regularly in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. Victoria studied with Michael Shurtleff in Hollywood for two summers. She received the Julie Harris scholarship to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and graduated from A.A.D.A., West 1997.
Amongst other voice over work, Victoria is the voice of Buster Bee, the Narrator & more than 16 other characters for The Bugville Critters Audio Collection, by Robert Stanek on audible.
As a filmmaker, Victoria is writer/director/producer of the feature-length documentary Dr Megavolt: From Geek to Superhero (2015), which premiered at Comic Con International Independent Film Festival in 2015, winning "Best of the Festival" at Lady Filmmakers Film Festival 2015 and "Best Documentary" at City of Angels Women's Film Festival, 2019. Dr MegaVolt: From Geek to Superhero is a portrait of the dichotomous life of Dr. Austin Richards, Ph.D., a mild-mannered physicist who performs as "Dr MegaVolt" wearing a metal Faraday suit and interacting with loud and dangerous Tesla coils.

Victoria has participated in many group filmmaker projects. The first of which was the cinéma vérité 140 (2009) (Newport Beach Film Festival 2010), a documentary where 140 filmmakers in 140 locations worldwide synchronized to film 140 seconds of continuous footage at the same time. Victoria also participated in Life in a Day (2011) (Sundance Film Festival 2011), One Day on Earth (2012) 10.10.10. & 11.11.11, which premiered at the General Assembly Hall at the United Nations in New York.
Victoria moved to Los Angeles from Australia in 1994. From 1999-2001 Victoria covered numerous red-carpet events, celebrity interviews and Hollywood Premieres as an on-camera-host/producer for fox nirveTV and Load TV. Victoria conducted many on-camera interviews and produced content as a field producer for Sundance Film Festival in 2018 and 2019, contributing to 10 Days of Different: Sundance Film Festival (2013) and Sundance Film Festival: YouTube Channel (2005) for Sundance Film Festival official YouTube.
Victoria is a graduate of the University of Melbourne, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Film and received a writer's grant from the Theatre Department.
