Nicholas Celozzi graduated with a BA from Marquette University from the college of communications and is fluent in French. He is also an award winning Actor/Producer/Director/Writer who has contributed to over 30 studio/independent feature film and television projects. Celozzi is the recipient of the prestigious David Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Entertainment Industry, The Southern California Motion Picture Council Award, and the Silver Scroll Award from the Academy of Science Fiction.
Celozzi produced "Kickboxer: Vengeance", which was released in 2016. Directed by John Stockwell (Blue Crush) and starring Jean-Claude Van Dame and Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy).The sequel "Kickboxer: Retribution" opened January 2018 to critical acclaim of which Celozzi served as Executive Producer. "Retribution" starred Jean-Claude Van Dame and Mike Tyson. Celozzi went on to write and produce "Shattered", based on a true story which starred Emmy winner Ray Wise. "Shattered" was distributed by VMI and is currently streaming on Tubi. It was nominated by the 2018-Youth Entertainer Awards for Best Supporting Young Actor in the Feature Film Category.
In 2022, Celozzi wrote and directed "The Class" starring Anthony Micael Hall, Debbie Gibson, Charlie Gillespie, and Lyric Ross. "The Class" opened theatrically, with a limited run in the fall of 2022 and is streaming on Tubi. Celozzi wrote and produced the award-winning feature length documentary "Momo, The Sam Giancana Story", released theatrically in 2014 and currently streaming on Tubi. The film won the Grand Jury Award for the Best Documentary at the Bel-Air Film Festival, the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival, and the Monaco/Monti Carlo Film Festival. His prior documentaries include: "Champions Forever", which sold over a million DVD's (Mohammed Ali, Joe Frazier, Larry Holmes, Ken Norton, George Foreman) and "Fishing Trawler Craftsman".
In 2012, Celozzi co-produced and cast the Weinstein/Left Right Production/VH1 "Mob Wives Chicago." Celozzi's other producing credits include the Sony/Fox hit "Bottoms Up" (Paris Hilton) and "Hidden Obsession" (MCA/Universal). He also wrote and produced the 3D franchise trilogy "Wings of the Dragon" and "Lost Island" (USA Cable Network). Celozzi Executive Produced "Dumb Luck" (David Proval-Soprano's, Jeff Conway-Taxi) and then produced "Abelar: Tales of an Ancient Empire" (3D sequel to "The Sword and the Sorcerer-Tales of the Ancient Empire") directed by Albert Pyun, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. He Executive Produced "The Barry Milken Story" for Insomnia Film Group and co-produced "A Fine Step/Fandango" (Luke Perry, Armand Assante). Celozzi's "Fallen Away" was nominated for Best Film at the New York Film Festival and his other commercial successful films of which he executive produced include: "Anchor Bay's 7-10 Split" (Tara Reid), "Senior Skip Day" (Norm McDonald, Lea Thompson), "A to M" and "Con Man" of which Celozzi co-executive produced and starred Armand Assante and Mark Hamill.
Celozzi produced and starred in the USA Cable's hit comedy "Campus Hustle" as well as wrote and starred in the acclaimed "Nightmare Boulevard" (Ron Perlman, Corbin Bernsen. Claudia Christian, Dick Van Patten). Celozzi also appeared in: The A-Team, Magnum P.I., Hunter, Walker Texas Ranger, and Abduction. He also played Viper, a returning character on the NBC's "Days of Our Lives". Celozzi served as Head of the Film Department for the Advanced Acting Division at Act One Studios and Conservatory for three years and his film acting credits include: "The Closer" (Danny Aiello), "Pretty Smart" (Academy Award Winner Patricia Arquette), "Marked for Death" and "Terror Squad". In addition, Celozzi starred and executive produced the Silver Scroll Award Winning Film, "Slaughterhouse Rock" which is currently streaming on Tubi.
Celozzi starred, produced, and scripted the acclaimed Lifetime Movie World Premiere of "The Lost Angel" (Allison Eastwood, Judd Nelson, C. Thomas Howell).
Celozzi's directing credits include: "The Class", the HBO feature film, "Dark and Deadly" with Tom Reilly-Chips and Kim Patton (X-Files), and "Checkmate (aka Deep Cover)" starring kickboxing champion Cynthia Rothrock, Stephan Nichols, Patrick Wayne. In 2005, at Warner Bros, Celozzi worked for the Wolper Organization, created, sold and wrote a 6 hour limited mini-series for Warner Bros./TNT titled "MOMO, The Sam Giancana Story."
"The Legitimate Wise Guy" written by Celozzi is slated for 2025 production. The film is based on a true story of one of the most notorious mob enforcers that came out of the Chicago Outfit. It centers on the relationship between Spilotoro and a young man he mentored, trying to make it in Hollywood. Celozzi also created and wrote "2 DAYS/1963" the true story depicting the JFK assassination as told by Sam Giancana's brother, Jospeh "Pepe" Giancana. The film is in pre-production now. It will be shot in 2025 and is directed by Roland Joffe ("The Killing Fields", "The Mission"). Celozzi co-wrote and is also developing the film version of the best-selling New York Times book, "Secrets of a Small Town." In 2024, Celozzi co-wrote with Pulitzer Prize winner, David Mamet ("Glengarry Glen Ross"), the screenplay "The Assassination."
