And then in April Damon was born.
Damon had a cool childhood. His mother and father liked to keep him on my toes so they moved a lot. They went from one house to another but almost always in Southern California. Damon grow up in a very loving environment surrounded by truly interesting people. Artists, Doctors, writers and your local crazies. His parents thought that it was important to have all kinds of people with different ideas and points of view in their lives. This gave him a wonderful foundation for the love of creativity, travel and the meeting of new people.
Damon was education was as eclectic as he is. With all the moving his family did he spent his younger years going from school to school until the family settled in Laguna Beach California. Damon attend Junior High and High School there. He Graduated form Laguna Beach High in 1985. He then moved to London and studied and the London Academy of Music and Drama thru 1986. And eventually ended up at UCLA to study Production.
Yes, his parents were hippies. But the cool kind of hippies. They bathed, brushed there teeth and liked clean clothes. That may sound funny now, but trust Damon when he tells you that a lot of "real hippies" in those days did not believe in water, or the use of it.
Like Damon his father he was always into gadgets and new technologies. His father also has a love of language and the wonderful ability to weave a good yarn so he did what any tech geek that writes beautifully would do, he started an advertising agency. That agency grew and grew into something big and wonderful. Which in turn made Damon's parents successful hippies.
His parents agency was a great place to lean so every summer and holiday that Damon got off he would go to my parents office just to be around all those talented people. It was a great and magical place. Its the place where Damon learned to love the creative proses. A place that made something out of nothing. Damon has always carried those days in his heart and he brings that spirit of wonderment with him to every project he does. And now Damon has the wonderful pleasure of passing all that to his own children. Damon just hopes that he can give them all that his parents gave to him.
And that brings me to his Beautiful and wonderful best friends. His wife, Julianne Cason Reiser and their Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious kids, Karl Claudius Cason Reiser and Simone Ripley Cason Reiser. And yes, those are some big ass names to live up to. Damon and his wife were married on November 8th, 2002 at Stone Field Castle in Scotland. Not because they are Scottish, because they are not. As a matter of fact Damon is a Jewish American Indian Demarcate and his wife is a Catholic Republican white girl. Talk about opposites attracting. Congress could learn a lot from them. Their son was born on August 8th 2006, and daughter on August 31, 2008.
