Susan Carol Schwary(1948-2009)

Susan Carol Shoffner was born educated in San Diego and Glendora. Susan
attended Citrus College as a business, art and cosmetology major. While
vacationing in Hawaii 1970 she met Ronald Louis Schwary and they
married in 1977. They have two sons together. Ronald's career took off
as a film producer including an Oscar for
Ordinary People (1980) and one
other Oscar nomination for
A Soldier's Story (1984). Susan
directed her life to raising their sons and sometimes working with her
husband, as a film hair stylist. Susan has a passion for remodeling,
building and decorating houses. In 1986 Susan became a member of
I.A.T.S.E. Local 706 as a Film Hair Stylist. The film business drew
Susan and Ronald in different directions, they divorced in 1994.Ronald
lives in New York and Susan lives in Pacific Palisades. Neither has
remarried. Susan has received two nominations, in 1998 The Academy Of
Television Of Arts & Sciences Emmy Awards and, in 1999 The First Annual
Make up & Hair Stylist Guild Awards For Motion Pictures and Television.
In 1998 she was elected to serve on the executive board of Local 706
and the following year to be a delegate at the I.A.T.E. 64th
Convention. Susan's passion remains the ARTS.
