- Arthur Edmund Carewe was born on December 30, 1884 in Trapzon (Trebizond), Turkey. He was an actor, known for The Phantom of the Opera (1925), Doctor X (1932) and The Cat and the Canary (1927). He was married to Irene Pavlowska. He died on April 22, 1937 in Santa Monica, California, USA.
