- Mark Patrick Carducci was born on November 18, 1954 in New York. Carducci worked as a freelance journalist while studying filmmaking at New York University. After acquiring representation from the agency ICM Partners, Mark established a niche for himself in the horror genre: He not only co-wrote an episode of the horror anthology TV series Tales from the Darkside (1983), but also penned the scripts for the fright films Neon Maniacs (1986) and Pumpkinhead (1988). Moreover, Carducci also wrote, directed, and produced the documentary Flying Saucers Over Hollywood: The 'Plan 9' Companion (1992). Mark committed suicide at age 42 on June 19, 1997 in Thousand Oaks, California.
