Dancing with the Stars is one of Tuesday night’s biggest network television draws. The celebrity dance competition series is one of ABC’s most popular, and this season is one of its most exciting yet. As the series passes its midway point and with only six celebrities left in the competition, fans are waiting to see the next set of dances. But, as today is Election Day, is Dancing with the Stars on tonight, Nov. 5, 2024?
‘Dancing with the Stars’ will waltz onto television screens for a special episode
After 33 seasons, Dancing with the Stars remains a draw for families who enjoy a lighthearted competition series that all members can enjoy. From young to old, viewers have become accustomed to the ballroom techniques featured in the series and have made celebrities out of the series’ pros, who garner as much attention as the celebrities they’re paired with.

Former Dancing With the Stars host Tom Bergeron recently revealed what he’s missed the most since leaving the show.
Bergeron famously hosted the dance competition show for its first 28 seasons, with various celebrities winning.
During that time, Bergeron saw several changes to his co-host with Lisa Canning, Samantha Harris, Brooke Burke, and Erin Andrews in the role for various seasons.
Model and television star Tyra Banks replaced him as host for Season 29 and remained there for three seasons before leaving the show.
Since then, it has been in the hands of Alfonso Ribeiro and dancer Julianne Hough as the host and co-host, respectively.
While Bergeron doesn’t seem to miss Dancing With the Stars much, he mentioned missing some aspects.

Tom Bergeron‘s 2020 firing continues to divide DWTS viewers. However, in a new interview, the television personality sheds new light on his departure from the celebrity competition series, claiming he “screwed” producers before leaving the series for good.
Ex-‘DWTS’ host Tom Bergeron says he ‘screwed’ producers after ‘they screwed him’
Tom Bergeron, who hosted DWTS from seasons one through 28, was a constant on the ever-evolving ABC series. From day one, he provided light banter while moving the live show along and, ultimately, became as integral a part of the series as its celebrities and dancers.
Bergeron remained DWTS‘ stalwart. He hosted alongside Lisa Canning in season one, Samantha Harris from seasons two through nine, Brooke Burke from seasons 10 through 17, and Erin Andrews from seasons 18 through 28.
ABC announced Bergeron and Andrews’ surprise exit in July 2020, stating that the show was heading in “a new creative direction.” Tyra Banks replaced Bergeron...

“Dancing With the Stars” professional dancer Gleb Savchenko would love to see the ABC dancing competition feature its first same-sex partner pairings, with other countries’ versions of the show already having brought that change to the format.
“I can’t wait for this moment! Last season when Johnny Weir got on the show I was like, ‘Johnny, you Have to be my partner, but they ended up not doing it,” the “DWTS” pro told Mr. Warburton magazine in a recent interview.
Savchenko noted that the “DWTS” franchise has included same-sex dance couples in other countries, including the U.K.’s “Strictly Come Dancing,” which is the format all the “DWTS” series are based on, and the Australian version. “They’ve done it before in Australia with Courtney Act and in the UK with Nicola Adams and they were both amazing!”

“Dancing with the Stars” fans are still searching for answers after Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews were axed last week in favor of new host Tyra Banks, but Bergeron wants to nip one theory in the bud.
On Sunday, a fan suggested in the comments of one of Bergeron’s Instagram posts that the duo was fired in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement. “I understand with the whole movement going on and everything I do cause I support the movement 100% however Tom is a great host who is inclusive and an ally,” the fan wrote. “I think if they wanted to do this for the movement they should have kept at least one of you.”
“Hadn’t planned to say any more about my departure yet but, as a supporter of the @Blklivesmatter movement, I can assure you that wasn’t the reason,” Bergeron responded.

Fans weren’t the only ones who were stunned by and upset about Tom Bergeron‘s and Erin Andrews‘ firings from “Dancing with the Stars.”
“I feel like it was just such sudden news. My heart breaks for Tom and Erin,” judge Carrie Ann Inaba said on “The Talk” in an episode scheduled to air on Tuesday (watch above). “I cried when I heard the news, as well as, I think a lot of our fans did.”
Bergeron announced on Monday that ABC had dropped him after 15 years. ABC and BBC Studios, which produces the show, later announced that Andrews, who joined as co-host in 2014, also wouldn’t be returning as the series embarks on a “new creative direction.” The next day, Tyra Banks was tapped as the new host and executive producer.
Like Bergeron, Inaba has been with “Dancing” since its premiere in June 2005. “He’s been there from...

With the recent firings of Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, and the hiring of Tyra Banks, it's clear that Dancing With the Stars will look very different this fall.
With both hosts out, fans have been wondering whether there will be any changes to the judging panel.
Carrie Ann Inaba has opened up about whether she, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli will still be critiquing the celebrities and the pro dancers on the next season.
“As of now, that is the plan [to come back]. I just want everybody to know, Len, Bruno and I — that is the plan that we’re coming back,” Inaba told her co-hosts during a clip for The Talk, which was obtained by TV Line.
“They’re going to make the official announcement in a few weeks. They’re just going to keep letting us know all the details. I don’t want people to worry. It seems like everything is Ok.

On the heels of her abrupt firing from Dancing With the Stars, former co-host Erin Andrews has weighed in on ABC’s decision to dismiss her and Tom Bergeron from the show.
“Thank you ABC and the entire Dancing With the Stars family for [six] memorable seasons,” Andrews tweeted on Tuesday. “Those years wouldn’t have been as special without my loving host Tom Bergeron, the talented dancers, and witty judges. I will always cherish my days on that set, even if I wasn’t the best at walking in heels.”
