Born and grew up in a mining village near Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
Experienced the miner's strike first hand and the effects on the local
mining communities. Educated locally before eventually attending
university in Leicester, studying Film and American Studies. Moved to
San Francisco for a year after graduating, then moved to London where
he still resides.
