As important as it is for Marvel fans, Daredevil: Born Again is as important for the Call of Duty fandom. It includes the return of Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal), and more. It’s a blast for Marvelites.

One of the villains of the show is White Tiger, played by Kamar de los Reyes. Now if you aren’t aware of this name, you may know the actor better by the character he played; Raul Menendez from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. I can still feel the menacing but charming look on me every time he appears on the screen, even now, all these years later.

As the release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 gets even closer, Activision has started unveiling teasers for the much-anticipated Zombies mode. They are using a unique method to release these teasers, making them exciting and mysterious for fans.

After showing the first trailer for Black Ops 6 at the Xbox Game Showcase in June, people were eager to see what Treyarch Studios planned for the Zombies mode. The next entry will have new features, like an omnidirectional movement system that lets players run, dive, and slide in any direction.

It was only recently when Activision started teasing the Zombies mode through the website, TheTruthDies.com. On the official Call of Duty Twitter account, a short video guides fans to this website.

A user on X highlighted one of these teasers, which gives us our first look at the Mr Peeks Gobblegum Machine.

A Certain Justice, aka Puncture Wounds, is the latest film from the foursome of Giorgio Serafini, Dolph Lundgren, Vinnie Jones and Gianni Capaldi, who previously worked together on Hard Rush (aka Ambushed) and Blood of Redemption. South by Southwest (SXSW) is just one of many film festivals, we here at Sound On Sight cover yearly. The fest, which takes place every spring in Austin, Texas, began in 1987, and has continued to grow in size every year. The fest announced the first wave of films back in early January, and the lineup included some highly anticipated films such as The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, Evil Dead, Downloaded and Spring Breakers. Now the full lineup has been announced, and it just might be one of the best lineups the festival has ever programmed.

A few weeks back, Image Entertainment released the zombie flick Dead Season on DVD everywhere and to support its home debut, Dread Central had the opportunity to chat with writer/producer/editor Loren Semmens about the project.

Dead Season follows a group of survivors a year after a zombie outbreak to a remote island where things aren't exactly as they seem and the undead running amok may not be the biggest threat to the residents living there. Directed by Adam Deyoe, the film stars Scott Peat, James C. Burns, Marissa Merrill and Corsica Wilson.

Dread Central: Can you start off by telling us how Dead Season came about?

Loren Semmens: Well, the director Adam and I had been friends for a while and we had always wanted to make a zombie film together.

Adam Deyoe’s post-apocalyptic zombie flick Dead Season hit VOD on July 5th and if you’re anticipating the official DVD release, you don’t have long to wait. Dead Season arrives on shelves July 31st. Deyoe, Joshua Klausner and Loren Semmens crafted this flawed but inspired story. James C. Burns, Scott Peat, Marissa Merrill, Corsica Wilson and Marc L. Fusco star. Get a look at the synopsis below as well as a look at the official press release, which promises some nice bonus material for hardcore supplement fans!

With so many zombie genre films entering the market, this reviewer is wondering if filmmakers are simply trying to capitalize in on the undead craze. Films like The Terror Experiment are simply amateurish and this film added nothing to the genre. Now, Adam Deyoe of Yeti: A Love Story and Psycho Sleepover takes a mediocre stab at this genre from the director's chair. His film, Dead Season, starts from a weak place, a poor script. From here on out, the film feels like amateur hour spent in a tropical paradise. The film begins with the protagonist, Elvis (Scott Peat). He is a lone survivor of a zombie apocalypse. He has a friend who he can talk to on the radio. She is a mysterious figure.

Tagline: "On this island survival is no game." If your zombie survival plan involved finding sanctuary on an island, then Dead Season might make you change your mind. Characters Elvis (Scott Peat) and Tweeter (Marissa Merrill) try this plan when the undead are unleashed across the continental United States. They head for an isolated island in the Caribbean, but here they are enrolled in a fight to stay alive. The residents, already there, only have limited supplies, so Elvis and Tweeter must make themselves welcome with machete and bat. Director Sam Lemberg's new short film Chameleon is a nice piece of work. It's well shot, well acted and draws the viewer into a tense dramatic standoff. And here's the best news…we've got it for you right here!

Chameleon is set in West Virginia, seven months after an alien invasion has changed the way of life as we know it. The film stars James C. After a few low-profile years, James Woods is once again racking up the film projects. Following Straw Dogs and the recently completed Officer Down, he's signed for The Stone Pony and may also direct An American Girl. Two scientifically altered creatures eat up all the locals and vacationers on a small island before duking it out battle royale style for supremacy. 

Let's talk about the intent behind a film like Dinocroc vs. Supergator. First off, it is not something to be token seriously or straight forward. It's the kind of entertainment that is supposed to recall all those cheesy monster movies that were produced back in the 50's. The acting is supposed to be campy. The situations are supposed to be exaggerated. The special effects are supposed to look cheap. There is supposed to be an inherent humor about how goofy the film is as a whole. And, of course, it's all supposed to be rather tacky and trashy.

I have to say when I saw the initial plot synopsis, I got really excited as it combined to of my favorite horror film tangents that will usually ensure a successful horror movie - Halloween and a game of hide and seek. A disgruntled former Weezer fan, James Burns, has launched a campaign to silence the band. He decided he was "tired of being disappointed year after year" ever since the album Pinkerton came out. He says the "the abusive relationship" between him and Weezer's music needs to stop. So how does he plan to make them go away? He has offered the band $10 million to retire and has even launched an online fundraiser to get the funds together.

Weezer have responded to an online campaign to stop them from releasing another album, insisting they'll retire if anti-fans come up with $20 million. James Burns wants to silence the band by paying them off and he's embarked on a bid to raise $10 million to split the group.

Burns claims the "Buddy Holly" rockers have failed to live up to their 1996 album 'Pinkerton" and he's taking his crusade online to find followers around the world. The band is taking the campaign in its stride - with drummer Patrick Wilson joking they'll consider an inflated offer.

In a post on Twitter.com, he writes: "If they can make it 20 (million), we'll do the deluxe breakup."

When launching the fund-raising effort, James Burns said, "I have never been a fan of this band. I think that they are pretty much horrible, and always have been. But this isn't about me. This is about the Weezer fans.

Weezer hater James Burns, consider yourself served. Just hours after anti-fan Burns launched a campaign asking the group's alienated admirers (or maybe enemies) to help him raise $10 million via an online petition to get the "Buddy Holly" rockers to split up for good, Weezer drummer Patrick Wilson met Burns' challenge and raised him $10 million.

"If they can make it 20 (million), we'll do the deluxe breakup," Wilson joked on his Twitter feed on Tuesday, the same day Burns posted his anti-Weezer screed.

Burns currently is accepting donations for his cause at ThePoint.com, where he wrote, "Every year, [frontman] Rivers Cuomo swears that he's changed, and that [Weezer's] new album is the best thing that he's done since [1996's] Pinkerton, and what happens? An angry Seattle resident has had enough of Weezer's "pile of crap" albums and has publicly offered to give them a large sum of money if they'll quit the business. The man, identified as James Burns, plans to raise the money via fundraising/campaign site, thepoint.com.

"I have never been a fan of this band. I think that they are pretty much horrible, and always have been. Even in the early 90's," he says in his pitch to gather supporters. "But this isn't about me. This is about the Weezer fans. They are our brothers and sisters, our friends, our lovers."

He goes on about all the crap albums that Weezer has released over the years since "Pinkerton," Rivers Cuomo's excuses for them, and what an abusive relationship the band has with their fans. "It needs to stop now," Burns decided. "I am tired of endless whimsical cutesy album covers and music videos.

It may seem incredible in these dour economic times, but it looks like Rivers Cuomo's outfit has struck enough of a chord to incite actual grassroots action. Unfortunately for Cuomo and his bandmates, it's for his band to break up. The offer? $10,000,000. All from small dollar donations that would make Howard Dean proud. James Burns of Seattle band Police Teeth (and Cold Lake) has finally had enough and is using online fundraising website The Point to make his dreams of a Weezer-less universe come true. James Burns really hates Weezer. "This is an abusive relationship, and it needs to stop now," Burns wrote on the petition website thepoint.com. "I am tired of my friends being disappointed year after year. I'm sick of hearing about whatever this terrible (and yes, even if you like the early stuff, you should be able to admit that they are wretched now) excuse for a band is up to these days." To remedy this issue, Burns is hoping to raise $10 million to give Weezer in an effort to get the band to "disappear." Good luck with that. Burns' crackpot idea isn't without merit, however! Ahead, find six projects Movieline would gladly pay $10 million to never have to hear from again.

Look, it's no secret that Weezer have had a pretty rough decade ... after all, with each album they released in the 'aughts, they moved a little bit further away from their Blue/Pinkerton heyday, and a little bit closer to being the kind of band that puts Lil Wayne on songs about partying and names albums after ancillary characters from "Lost" (oh, wait, they already are that kind of band).

But even by the harshest of standards, this is a bit much.

Bobby Nash- I’ve had a couple books come out in 2010. Fantastix is a graphic novel I wrote for Fyi Comics that was illustrated by Daniele Serra. I also have a short prose story in A Fistful Of Legends, a western anthology published by Express Westerns.
