As important as it is for Marvel fans, Daredevil: Born Again is as important for the Call of Duty fandom. It includes the return of Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal), and more. It’s a blast for Marvelites.
One of the villains of the show is White Tiger, played by Kamar de los Reyes. Now if you aren’t aware of this name, you may know the actor better by the character he played; Raul Menendez from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. I can still feel the menacing but charming look on me every time he appears on the screen, even now, all these years later.

The 1996 crash, which killed all 230 passengers on board, was, at the time, the second-deadliest airline accident ever in the United States. A Certain Justice, aka Puncture Wounds, is the latest film from the foursome of Giorgio Serafini, Dolph Lundgren, Vinnie Jones and Gianni Capaldi, who previously worked together on Hard Rush (aka Ambushed) and Blood of Redemption. This time round the group is joined by Ufc Fighter-turned action star Cung Le (from the awesome Dragon Eyes) and one of my favourite female stars working in Hollywood today, Briana Evigan.
The film tells the story of soldier John Nguyen, who returns home from a traumatic tour of duty in Iraq struggling with Ptsd. What little peace he had managed to build around him is shattered one fateful day when he rescues a local call girl from a group of violent pimps, killing one and severely injuring the other.

Brad (P.J. Boudousqué) is a troubled teenager who is abducted from his home in the middle of the night — but, don’t worry, his mother (Raquel Gardner) has given her consent. He is driven in a van to a reform facility located in the middle of the wilderness. At least 20 miles of harsh terrain away from the nearest town, Brad and his cohorts are completely cut off from society, one of many tactics used by the Coldwater facility to break the spirits of the inmates. Colonel Frank Reichert (James C. Burns) runs a strict military-like operation, with no room for sympathy or compassion. Fear of punishment is the main motivator in forcing the inmates to conform with society’s rules; but, because of blind trust, the Colonel is unaware of just how horrendous the punishments rendered by the Coldwater counselors can be. Imagine waking up in the middle of the night to strangers who pull you from your bed, handcuff you and put a cloth sack over your head. The last thing you hear as they toss you screaming into the back of a van is your mother saying “I love you.” This is how we meet Brad Lunders (P.J. Boudousqué). He’s a teenager mired in a life of drug dealing and other criminal acts, and after a recent incident that resulted in a death his mother has chosen an extreme option intended to keep Brad out of jail. He’s been shipped off to a “residential treatment program for troubled youths,” but while that sounds like a professional and responsibly run place, it just may be anything but. Coldwater is a beautifully acted and shot drama about troubled kids forced to grow up quickly by even more troubled adults. It’s an engaging eye-opener that moves from...

A few weeks back, Image Entertainment released the zombie flick Dead Season on DVD everywhere and to support its home debut, Dread Central had the opportunity to chat with writer/producer/editor Loren Semmens about the project.
Dead Season follows a group of survivors a year after a zombie outbreak to a remote island where things aren't exactly as they seem and the undead running amok may not be the biggest threat to the residents living there. Directed by Adam Deyoe, the film stars Scott Peat, James C. Burns, Marissa Merrill and Corsica Wilson.
Check out our interview with Semmens below and look for Dead Season on DVD shelves now.
Dread Central: Can you start off by telling us how Dead Season came about?
Loren Semmens: Well, the director Adam and I had been friends for a while and we had always wanted to make a zombie film together.

Director: Adam Deyoe. Writers: Adam Deyoe, Joshua Klausner, and Loren Semmens. Cast: James C. Burns, Scott Peat, Marissa Merrill, Corsica Wilson, and Marc L. Fusco. With so many zombie genre films entering the market, this reviewer is wondering if filmmakers are simply trying to capitalize in on the undead craze. Films like The Terror Experiment are simply amateurish and this film added nothing to the genre. Now, Adam Deyoe of Yeti: A Love Story and Psycho Sleepover takes a mediocre stab at this genre from the director's chair. His film, Dead Season, starts from a weak place, a poor script. From here on out, the film feels like amateur hour spent in a tropical paradise. The film begins with the protagonist, Elvis (Scott Peat). He is a lone survivor of a zombie apocalypse. He has a friend who he can talk to on the radio. She is a mysterious figure.

First-time feature director Trevor White has rounded up a strong cast for his debut Jamesy Boy. THR reveals Mary-Louise Parker, Ving Rhames, and James Woods have signed on, which speaks well for the script, penned by White and Lane Shadgett. Based on the true story of James Burns, Jamesy Boy follows the suburban teen's trajectory from small town Colorado gangs to a maximum security prison packed with hardened criminals. In this hostile surrounding Burns unexpectedly discovers a kinship with a convicted murderer, who ultimately becomes a friend and mentor to the young man, spurring him to positive personal change. Rhames is set to play the murderer turned mentor, with Woods portraying a detention center authority figure and Parker playing the boy's mother. But who will be Jamesy Boy? That weighty role has been awarded to newcomer Spencer Lofranco, who will be making his screen debut with this film. While that's...

After a few low-profile years, James Woods is once again racking up the film projects. Following Straw Dogs and the recently completed Officer Down, he's signed for The Stone Pony and may also direct An American Girl. As if that wasn't plenty to be going on with, Woods has now joined the cast of Jamesy Boy, a true-life crime drama in which he'll co-star with Ving Rhames and Mary-Louise Parker. It sounds a bit like A Prophet (not to be confused with The Prophet, which appears elsewhere this morning), a bit like Felon, and a bit like any number of other prison movies. This one's about James Burns, a street-gang member who finds himself thrown in clink. There he forges an unlikely mentor-student relationship with a reformed murderer, who helps him see life from a new perspective. Hey, maybe it is like The Prophet after all. The roles earmarked for Woods,...

Let's talk about the intent behind a film like Dinocroc vs. Supergator. First off, it is not something to be token seriously or straight forward. It's the kind of entertainment that is supposed to recall all those cheesy monster movies that were produced back in the 50's. The acting is supposed to be campy. The situations are supposed to be exaggerated. The special effects are supposed to look cheap. There is supposed to be an inherent humor about how goofy the film is as a whole. And, of course, it's all supposed to be rather tacky and trashy.

Hide From director Jamison Brandi comes Hide starring Lisa Younger (The Wrong Way), James C. Burns (Lake Dead) and Matt O' Neill (365 Days). I have to say when I saw the initial plot synopsis, I got really excited as it combined to of my favorite horror film tangents that will usually ensure a successful horror movie - Halloween and a game of hide and seek. Just look at how well John Carpenter's Halloween scored with the holiday. Or look at how successful Hide and Seek, starring Robert De Niro, was at the box office utilizing the beloved children's game.

A disgruntled former Weezer fan, James Burns, has launched a campaign to silence the band. He decided he was "tired of being disappointed year after year" ever since the album Pinkerton came out. He says the "the abusive relationship" between him and Weezer's music needs to stop. So how does he plan to make them go away? He has offered the band $10 million to retire and has even launched an online fundraiser to get the funds together.

Weezer have responded to an online campaign to stop them from releasing another album, insisting they'll retire if anti-fans come up with $20 million. James Burns wants to silence the band by paying them off and he's embarked on a bid to raise $10 million to split the group.
Burns claims the "Buddy Holly" rockers have failed to live up to their 1996 album 'Pinkerton" and he's taking his crusade online to find followers around the world. The band is taking the campaign in its stride - with drummer Patrick Wilson joking they'll consider an inflated offer.
In a post on Twitter.com, he writes: "If they can make it 20 (million), we'll do the deluxe breakup."
When launching the fund-raising effort, James Burns said, "I have never been a fan of this band. I think that they are pretty much horrible, and always have been. But this isn't about me. This is about the Weezer fans.

Weezer hater James Burns, consider yourself served. Just hours after anti-fan Burns launched a campaign asking the group's alienated admirers (or maybe enemies) to help him raise $10 million via an online petition to get the "Buddy Holly" rockers to split up for good, Weezer drummer Patrick Wilson met Burns' challenge and raised him $10 million.
"If they can make it 20 (million), we'll do the deluxe breakup," Wilson joked on his Twitter feed on Tuesday, the same day Burns posted his anti-Weezer screed.
Burns currently is accepting donations for his cause at ThePoint.com, where he wrote, "Every year, [frontman] Rivers Cuomo swears that he's changed, and that [Weezer's] new album is the best thing that he's done since [1996's] Pinkerton, and what happens? Another pile of crap like 'Beverly Hills' or 'I'm Your Daddy.

A Weezer anti-fan has launched an online campaign to stop the band from releasing another album - and he's hoping to raise $10 million to silence them. James Burns, from Seattle, Washington claims he was inspired by friends who are fans of the "Buddy Holly" rockers but disappointed by their recent musical offerings - which he claims have failed to live up to their hit 1996 album "Pinkerton".
Burns has set up a website to help his fundraising efforts, on which he writes, "I have never been a fan of this band. I think that they are pretty much horrible, and always have been. An angry Seattle resident has had enough of Weezer's "pile of crap" albums and has publicly offered to give them a large sum of money if they'll quit the business. The man, identified as James Burns, plans to raise the money via fundraising/campaign site, thepoint.com.
"I have never been a fan of this band. I think that they are pretty much horrible, and always have been. Even in the early 90's," he says in his pitch to gather supporters. "But this isn't about me. This is about the Weezer fans. They are our brothers and sisters, our friends, our lovers."
He goes on about all the crap albums that Weezer has released over the years since "Pinkerton," Rivers Cuomo's excuses for them, and what an abusive relationship the band has with their fans. "It needs to stop now," Burns decided. "I am tired of endless whimsical cutesy album covers and music videos.

It may seem incredible in these dour economic times, but it looks like Rivers Cuomo's outfit has struck enough of a chord to incite actual grassroots action. Unfortunately for Cuomo and his bandmates, it's for his band to break up. The offer? $10,000,000. All from small dollar donations that would make Howard Dean proud. James Burns of Seattle band Police Teeth (and Cold Lake) has finally had enough and is using online fundraising website The Point to make his dreams of a Weezer-less universe come true. Was it the cover art schtick of Hurley that set this campaign over the top? Seriously? That's what you came up with? No, it was not. The creator of Having Fun On Stage With Fugazi breaks it down on the campaign site: Objective We will offer Weezer $10 million to break up. Terms If we reach at least $10,000,000, then We get a chance to...

James Burns really hates Weezer. "This is an abusive relationship, and it needs to stop now," Burns wrote on the petition website thepoint.com. "I am tired of my friends being disappointed year after year. I'm sick of hearing about whatever this terrible (and yes, even if you like the early stuff, you should be able to admit that they are wretched now) excuse for a band is up to these days." To remedy this issue, Burns is hoping to raise $10 million to give Weezer in an effort to get the band to "disappear." Good luck with that. Burns' crackpot idea isn't without merit, however! Ahead, find six projects Movieline would gladly pay $10 million to never have to hear from again.

A new Internet campaign seeks to raise $10 million to pay Weezer to disband. “Every year, [frontman] Rivers Cuomo swears that he’s changed, and that their new album is the best thing that he’s done since Pinkerton, and what happens? Another pile of crap like ‘Beverly Hills’ or ‘I’m Your Daddy,’” wrote organizer James Burns. “This is an abusive relationship, and it needs to stop now.” With more than $9,999,800 left to go until the $10 million mark, now—and probably the very distant future—is a good time to contribute, should you be so inclined. But why $10 million? Burns does not say! Perhaps the payment is something of an attempt to put a price on the emotional damage the band’s late work has inflicted upon its early fans.

Look, it's no secret that Weezer have had a pretty rough decade ... after all, with each album they released in the 'aughts, they moved a little bit further away from their Blue/Pinkerton heyday, and a little bit closer to being the kind of band that puts Lil Wayne on songs about partying and names albums after ancillary characters from "Lost" (oh, wait, they already are that kind of band).
But even by the harshest of standards, this is a bit much.
They've now been offered $10 million to break up, by one angry music fan on a mission to save Weezer aficionados from "an abusive relationship" with the band.

Okay, so maybe the island isn’t exactly full of zombies, but there are zombies, there is an island, and there is escaping going on, so technically the headline is sorta correct, if a tad misleading. Anyways, check out the debut trailer for Adam Deyoe’s new zombie flick “Dead Season”, which looks visually excellent, and the story certainly looks intense. I’d have liked to see more zombie happenings, but apparently this is one of those stories where, yeah, the zombie apocalypse sucks, but it’s the humans you should really be worried about. A year after the civilized world has fallen into chaos, Elvis and Tweeter hope to increase their chances of survival by fleeing to what they think is an abandoned island. Upon arriving, they are forced to join a new community and live by rules that require them to make tough decisions. Starring James C. Burns,...

"This movie was a real challenge to make, but in a good way," said producer Loren Semmens. "Dead Season is more than a zombie movie. It deals with 'what if' situations in a post-apocalyptic society; realistic decision making that is necessary for survival" Dead Season tells the story of two post-zombie outbreak survivors, Elvis and Tweeter, as they escape America to find a safe haven on a tropical island. Upon arriving, they are forced to deal with a newly formed community that is anything but civil. The film stars James C. Burns, Scott Peat and Marissa Merrill. When not making excuses to do anything and everything else, Bobby Nash writes. A multitasker, Bobby's certain that he does not suffer from Add, but instead... ooh, shiny. When he finally manages to put fingers to the keyboard, Bobby writes novels, comic books, short prose, graphic novels, and even a little pulp fiction just for good measure. And despite what his brother says, he is not addicted to DVDs and can quit anytime he wants to.
