Edita swam successfully from Alcatraz to San Francisco three times, the length of the Golden Gate Bridge twice, and 10K from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Bay Bridge twice.
She came to Britain with her parents in 1968 at the time of the
Soviet-led invasion of Czechoslovakia.
