Discovery Productions has unveiled an official trailer for the 4K restoration of Dennis Hopper's "controversial" 1980 film Out of the Blue, which is being re-released this fall. It initially premiered at the 1980 Cannes Film Festival, but "went unreleased because it was considered too bleak for US audiences." This new update & re-release was prepared for a Venice Film Festival premiere, and is being presented by Chloë Sevigny & Natasha Lyonne. A young girl whose father is an ex-convict and whose mother is a junkie finds it difficult to conform and tries to find comfort in a quirky combination of Elvis and the punk scene.
