One of the biggest red carpet fashion faux pas? Wearing a skin-like shade that washes you out. When it comes to wearing neutrals, everyone's skin is so different that it can be a bit perplexing to find the perfect beige or flattering cream for you. According to style expert Amy B. Mizrahie, it's "less a matter of your skin color and more a focus on your tone," she said. Basically, do you fall into the warm, neutral or cool-tone category? Once you've answered that, pinpointing your undertone is really all it takes to solve this fashion formula. For instance, warm tones (which we see on stars like Eva Mendes) have yellow or olive undertones....

The idea of Arnold Schwarzenegger starring in a zombie film is one that seems like mere fan fiction as it's pretty much too good to be true. But the upcoming film Maggie is proof that sometimes...
...things that are too good to be true are actually true.
In the Henry Hobson-directed zombie flick, Arnold plays the father of a 16-year-old girl (Abigail Breslin) who is infected with the zombie virus, staying by her side as she transforms from human being to flesh-eating monster.
Yes, Arnold Schwarzenegger as a zombie's dad. We're not making this up, and we're so glad that we're not.
It was announced today that Maggie will be having its world premiere next month as part of the Toronto International Film Festival's 2014 lineup. The festival runs September 4th through the 14th, and Maggie will be one of many special presentations.
In the meantime check out a handful of stills from the film,...

Horror comedy Smothered is written and directed by actor turned director John Schneider. Yes, you did read that correctly… Actor John Schneider, who many will know from family-friendly productions and his roles as Bo Duke on Dukes of Hazzard and more recently Jonathan Kent, aka Superman’s dad, on Smallville, has turned his hand to writing and directing in more recent years but who knew he had a penchant for penning horror? Admittedly he has had roles in low-budget monster movies such as Super Shark, Snow Beast and Lake Placid 2 but I had no idea he was such a horror fan – he certainly has to be to create such a love letter to the horror community as Smothered.

Fairlight Films has released a new behind-the-scenes promo for the upcoming horror-comedy Smothered, which is written and directed by Hollywood legend John Schneider (Smallville, Nip/Tuck), and sees horror icons Kane Hodder (Freddy vs. Jason, Jason X), Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects, Repo! The Genetic Opera), Don Shanks (Halloween 5, I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer), and R.A Mihailoff (Leatherface : Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, Pumpkinhead 2), playing themselves in a scenario that sees them attending a small, disheartening horror-convention on Friday the 13th.
Running out of patience but principally money, the group accept a cash-offer to go and scare-up the local Rv park – but things take a surprising, dark turn when they arrive. The tables are turned as the monsters of the movie screen become the prey!

We’re back with another edition of the Indie Spotlight, highlighting recent independent horror news sent our way. Today’s feature includes photos from Chainsaw Sally: The Animated Series, the first two chapters from the novel Survivor Max, the uncensored trailer for Smothered with Bill Moseley and Kane Hodder, Camp Dread DVD release details, and much more:
First Two Chapters of Survivor Max: “Meet Max, an 11-year old boy who was stuck in another boring day at school when the lock down alarm went off. They were under quarantine. He escaped and made it home, only to discover he’d have to find a way to survive this plague alone. Little did he know his father, his only parent, was among the infected. Slow-moving and non-thinking, the “lamebrains” swarmed his apartment complex, hunting survivors to feed their insatiable hunger for living flesh. Now he must apply his Porcupine...

The first trailer is here for the new horror film from John Schneider (yes, that John Schneider of "Dukes of Hazzard fame). Smothered has a cast filled with a handful of beloved horror icons, who are all apparently playing themselves in it. Check it out!
From the Press Release
When John R. Schneider wrote Smothered, he wrote a reverse of the classic horror film model. Instead of a bunch of college-aged girls getting slaughtered by men in masks, his film features men of the mask getting slaughtered by a beautiful young vixen.
And, in a turn that will leave horror fans titillated, the film features a list of horror icons playing “themselves” in this “horroromedy” (horror/comedy) film with more humanity than you’d expect from a film where almost everyone dies.
The film, which stars Kane Hodder (Jason X, Hatchet), Ra Milhailoff (Leatherface, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3), Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects,...

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water… Scratch that. Just when you thought it was safe to go anywhere Near water, along comes Ghost Shark!
Taking the shark flick to it’s illogical conclusion, Ghost Shark sees the titular shark haunting the beachside town of Smallport after being harpooned, shot and almost blown up by a couple of shark hunters. You see Smallport has a mysterious cave that dates back to the early settlement days, a cave that was the location for a number of deaths and a cave that is the subject of a local legend which foretells that any man, woman, and in this case shark,...

Zombies! They’re all the rage right now, though I guess they never really went out of style. But you know who has yet to make a foray into the zombie subgenre? Do you know who has been missing? The Governator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Not to worry! His upcoming film Maggie is going to change all that.
That’s right, Arnold will be taking on the undead in the form of Abigail Breslin. The actress plays a small-town teenager who contracts a virus that turns her into a flesh-eating creature, while Arnold is all set to play her farmer father who tries to help his daughter. Aw, that actually sounds really sweet.
Maggie is actually quite a small film, with Breslin and Schwarzenegger the biggest names in a cast that includes newcomer Aiden Flowers, Rachel Whitman Groves (she’s also in Spike Lee’s Oldboy), and TV actress Amy Brassette.
