She attended but did not finish art and media schools - António Arroio
College, ArCo, Portuguese Conservatory's Cinema School. Her
capabilities and understanding of filmmaking, however, were tested in
her early work as production assistant to directors Eduardo Geada in
Temos Festa, and Fonseca e Costa in Yvone Faz Tudo, before 1981. Over
the years, she worked with top names of the film industry in Portugal
and Europe, mostly in minor but interesting films. She is a founding
member of "PAISA". Since 1990, she is fashion director for the magazine
"Elle".
