Leonardo Bonzi was born on 22 December 1902 in Milan, Lombardy, Italy. He was a producer and director, known for Lost Continent (1955), Behind the Great Wall (1958) and Una lettera dall'Africa (1951). He was married to Jacqueline de Rieupeyroux, Clara Calamai and Elisa Lentati. He died on 29 December 1977 in Ripalta Cremasca, Cremona, Lombardy, Italy.
