Hubertus Bengsch

Hubertus, nephew of Berlin cardinal Bengsch, had his breakthrough in
Wolfgang Petersen's 1981 blockbuster, Das Boot (1981) playing the First
Officer. Born in 1952, Hubertus Bengsch studied at the Max Reinhardt
school in Berlin. He has been in plays at theatres in Hannover, Bochum,
Berlin and Salzburg. In addition he has participated in numerous
broadcast and television productions. Since 1990's smash hit, "Pretty
Woman", he has been the German synchronous voice of Richard Gere as well as
speaking in the X Files, Full House and as Kittridge in "Mission
Impossible".
A self professed perfectionist, Hubertus lends his talent and time to reading for various German children's charities and lends his voice to play the lead character Gil Grissom in the German dub of the popular hit series, C.S.I. He has also starred in the German television series, Der Landarzt playing the character of Peter Detlefsen. In July of 2001, Hubertus read from the Hollow Skai novel "In A Da Da Da Vida" in Aachen and has also lent his voice to advertisements for the Donau Shopping Mall in Regensborg and also for international telephone answering services for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He has also lent his time to attend Youth Fairs and speaking conventions for broadcasting. Still single, and a notoriously private person, Hubertus makes his home in Berlin where he works with P&P Studios.
