Elizabeth is known for her profound statements, emotional depth, comedic sensibility and excellence working with children. Her work reflects thought provoking concepts articulated uniquely through cinematic storytelling. She prides herself in creating a resonance with audiences which she calls it "Striking a Chord".
Elizabeth's early work includes award winning short films "A New Leash on Life", "Misinterpreted", and "Locoweed & Other Discoveries which attracted rave reviews, sold to local and international television, and showed in film festivals around the world. Elizabeth won the prestigious NATP award through the Canadian Academy of Cinema and Television which placed her to work alongside several veteran directors. Altogether she has directed 7 independent short films including, "The Tulpa", and "Bartholomew". Network productions include writing and directing on the tween series "The Next Step" and, "My Perfect Landing".
Elizabeth is a graduate of the AFI's elite directing program. She started writing and directing stage plays in high school. At 16 she was hired as an entertainment journalist on CBC's "What's New". At 18 she was hired as teen host on Canada's YTV, participating in seven different shows including "YTV Rocks", "Rock 'n Talk", "YTV News", and "Streetnoise" where she segued from on air host to writer, director, and segment producer.
In mid 2000's Elizabeth embraced transmedia storytelling which led to documentary and multi-media projects including "Stacy's Room / The Stacy Project", which explored the topic of female sexuality, and "HiBnb / StayHi", which resonated with global audiences in support of the destigmatization of cannabis.
