With over 30 years working in the film and television industry, an Emmy nomination and over 140 projects and counting, Bobbi Banks' career continues to evolve. She has worked with directors such as John Singleton, Malcom Lee, Mark Steven Johnson, Louis Leterrier, Craig Brewer, Brad Anderson, Edward Zwick, F. Gary Gray, Ava DuVernay, Stephen Williams, Reggie Hudlin and on films such as The Batman, Chevalier, A League of Their Own, August Osage County, Stonehearst Asylum, Selma, Men In Black International, Straight Outta Compton, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Candy Cane Lane and LIFT to name a few.
Some of the committees she serves on include the Television Academy Board of Governors, GreenLight Women Board of Directors, Academy Sound Branch Executive Committee, Academy Nicholl Fellowship Committee, Academy Museum Inclusion Advisory Committee, Academy Gold Fellowship for Women, Academy Gold Program Mentor, Avid's Community Association Executive Board of Directors and Industry Council for Roybal Film & Television Magnet. Ms. Banks is also past president of Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE), a former chair of A2020 Inclusion & Diversity Committee at AMPAS. She is also one of the featured sound editors in the Sound Documentary "Making Waves."
Ms. Banks also is very passionate about furthering the artistic ability of our youth. She has helped to give scholarships to a youth summer film program, and continues being a conduit in putting people together from all cultures and artistic disciplines to tell their stories and continues to seek ways to encourage and mentor the next generation
