"Lincoln's Foreign Legion" were foreign born Union soldiers that were in a polyglot regiment called The Garibaldi Guard ; the men came from fifty-two European principalities and fourteen American States. The book covers the careers of some of the officers and men in the post-Civil War years. A good research tools to look more deeply into Italians in American History. - As a performance artist, he demonstrates sculpturing in clay. His novelty act consists of working in front of an easel as he sculpts modeling clay and forms it, in rapid fire fashion, into models of the faces of celebrities and cartoon characters familiar to the public.
