He was born in Samsun. He worked as a shoemaker and chemical engineer. Opened a flour factory in Samsun. He founded Ömay Film company in 1948 and started production. The first film, A Foreigner, was shot in 1948 by director Seyfi Havaeri. Later Black Sea Post (1949) Köprüalti children (1953) The Life of a Driver (1955) Millionaire Boy (1958) directed with Orhan Denizli.
