November marks the start of the holiday season, with Thanksgiving approaching and Christmas not far behind. As the month goes on, you’ll likely find yourself shopping for gifts for friends and family (and maybe yourself), baking treats, attending holiday parties, and rushing to get work done before the end of the year. With all the rushing around, it’s important to prioritize rest — and what better way to relax than with a good movie or series?
When you’re deciding what to watch in your downtime, you may want to add a few of the titles that are leaving Netflix in November. Laugh along with Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish in Night School, go to space with Ryan Gosling (playing Neil Armstrong) in First Man, or get scared by Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise in It Chapter Two.

Ryan Gosling is one of today’s most popular actors. His journey to stardom began with Half Nelson, earning him his first Oscar nomination.
Since then, he has delivered memorable performances in films like Barbie as Ken, First Man as Neil Armstrong, and Blade Runner 2049 as Officer K. Beyond his impressive filmography, Gosling is also regarded as a genuinely nice person, which is a big reason why fans adore him.
When it comes to comic book roles, Gosling has yet to appear in either of the major franchises, although both sides are eager to claim him. DC fans have envisioned him in various intriguing roles, but Marvel fans have been calling for him to join the MCU for years.
Recently, a fan-created image depicting Gosling in a specific role sparked widespread agreement among fans that this would be the perfect fit for the actor in the MCU.

Ryan Gosling is one of the most popular actors today. His rise to fame began with Half-Nelson, for which he received his first Oscar nod, and he has since played some memorable roles in many movies, some examples being Ken in Barbie, Neil Armstrong in First Man, Officer K in Blade Runner 2049, and others.
But, it’s not just his movies, Gosling is considered to be a great person privately as well, which is why the fans adore him so much.
As far as comic book roles go, Gosling still hasn’t appeared in any of the two major universes, although both sides want to claim him as their own. DC fans have cast him in several interesting roles, but the “other side” is also calling.
Namely, Marvel fans have been calling Gosling to join the MCU for years now, and the number of potential roles that have been put forward is enormous.

Even though Bethesda tried its best to hype up Starfield: Shattered Space, the Dlc hasn’t been received well by gamers. Over on Steam, the story-driven only managed to draw in a little under 600 reviews within the first 24 hours, with the majority of them being negative.

I’m 80 years old and this is my 60th year in the entertainment business. It’s hard to believe even as I write it. Most of my career was in public relations, working with the biggest stars of the day. There were too many secrets in Hollywood back then, but I sometimes miss the mystery of icons like Paul Newman, Robert Mitchum, Ali MacGraw, Diahann Carroll, Charlton Heston and so many others. They spoke to the audience mainly through their work and carefully controlled press to promote their latest film. That mystery allowed me to pull off one of my most unusual achievements for a client when I accompanied actress and photojournalist Gina Lollobrigida to Cuba in 1974 for an exclusive photo essay and interview with Fidel Castro. As I watched Castro playing 5 on 5 basketball in an empty arena, I asked myself how a girl from a small town in Virginia ended up here.

It may have taken nearly a year to reach there, but Bethesda’s space-action RPG Starfield is finally hitting the mark. While that sentiment is quite divided due to the remnants of the community bashing Starfield, it can’t be denied that the title has come a long way since its September 6th, 2023 launch. It’s in a much better place thanks to the load of updates it has received over the last year.

Although a classic RPG at its core, Starfield has stepped into unknown territory for the studio by introducing aspects of the space exploration genre. Apart from completing quests and leveling characters, you can travel to planets on your ships. However, one of these exploration trips by a player has reignited the controversy surrounding NASA’s Moon landing in 1969.

HBO’s DC series Lanterns has found its Hal Jordan.
Emmy winner Kyle Chandler is set to play the legendary member of the Green Lantern Corps in the series, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter. The show will be the first series role for the Friday Night Lights star since Showtime’s 2022 drama Super Pumped.
Lanterns, which scored a straight-to-series order in June after years of development, comes from Chris Mundy (Ozark), Damon Lindelof (Watchmen, Lost) and Eisner Award-winning comics writer Tom King. The trio are co-writing and executive producing the series, with Mundy serving as showrunner.
The show, which falls under the HBO banner, is casting and in the middle of hiring directors. The series is looking to shoot from next January to June in Atlanta.

"I think it is the most critical situation we've faced so far in the manned space flight program." Netflix has revealed an official trailer for a documentary film titled Apollo 13: Survival, a gripping look at the true story of what really happened on Apollo 13 in the spring of 1970. This premiered at Cph:dox and it will be streaming on Netflix in early September for everyone. Just nine months after Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, NASA faced its greatest crisis — three astronauts stranded halfway to the moon on a spacecraft that had suffered a catastrophic explosion. Using original footage and interviews, this documentary tells the nail-biting story of Apollo 13 and the struggle to bring its astronauts safely home. Everyone knows the famous Apollo 13 movie starring Tom Hanks & Bill Paxton (from 1995 - which is one of my favorites), but this doc features actual footage and tells the real story.

Whiplash, the Oscar-winning psychological drama marking the breakout project of writer-director Damien Chazelle, is coming back to theaters nationwide in celebration of its 10th anniversary, Sony Pictures Classics announced today.

Inspired by Chazelle’s 2013 short of the same name, Whiplash follows Andrew Neyman (Teller), an ambitious young jazz drummer, single-minded in his pursuit to rise to the top of his elite east coast music conservatory. Scarlet Johansson, one of the highest-paid actresses in the world, has a style that I have long admired. While embarking on the promotional trail for her new film, Fly Me to the Moon, Johansson looked every bit the leading lady. Her gorgeous outfit selections, which wonderfully complemented her ageless, feminine beauty, demonstrated her penchant for timeless, classic silhouettes.
While she may not be fully adopting the method dressing trend—which has evolved over the past year into the official dress code for high-profile media tours—her clothing choices are as classic as the conspiracy theory that serves as the basis for her new film.

Plot: Marketing maven Kelly Jones wreaks havoc on launch director Cole Davis’s already difficult task. When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, Jones is directed to stage a fake moon landing as back-up.
Review: The 1969 space landing was often the subject of various conspiracy theories. Did we really go to the moon? Did Stanley Kubrick direct a fake moon landing? Why is physics a bit loopy in the video footage? These questions have inspired countless movies and TV shows, so it’s not a shocker that yet another one has been produced. Fly Me To The Moon tells the story of a marketing guru who has been given the task of promoting the Apollo program. The end goal is to get to space before Russia and declare American superiority on a national level. It’s not a shocker that this is a 4th of July release.

This article contains Fly Me to the Moon spoilers.
It’s a breathtaking shot. More than 50 years after the world watched Neil Armstrong take his one small step for man, and his one giant leap for all mankind, we now see those steps toward the lunar surface from Armstrong’s point-of-view. As the door to the Apollo 11 capsule opens, it is from the astronauts’ perspective we glimpse the fresh, unvarnished moon rock awaiting human footprints.
If this image felt faintly familiar while watching Greg Berlanti’s Fly Me to the Moon, a fusion of the an old school ‘90s romantic comedy with the slipperiness of a conspiracy thriller laugher of the same era, that’s because it’s more or less the same shot in Damien Chazelle’s First Man, an underrated Armstrong biopic that waits until this exact moment to change the film stock and camera lens to true IMAX.

I'm not a fan of "Jurassic World." But I'm comfortable enough to know when I owe a movie an apology. And I owe Colin Trevorrow's 2015 resurrection of the beloved dinosaur franchise a big one.
You've probably seen the movie. Taking place years after the original "Jurassic Park" trilogy, the film is centered around a dinosaur theme park that went right. Cloned dinosaurs populate exhibits attended by countless tourists. There are rides, restaurants, and merchandise. Everything does go belly-up once the plot kicks into gear, but it's firmly established that this miraculous, impossible place has been doing just fine for quite some time. Long enough that people are, well, getting bored of it.
And this proved a sticking point for many critics and viewers alike when the film was initially released. Myself included. We just couldn't possibly imagine a world where dinosaurs were back and people were ... not excited about it.

Can good old fashioned star power and solid reviews propel “Fly Me to the Moon” to the top of the box office?
Well, even Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, whose names appear above the title, are no match for Gru. “Despicable Me 4” is widely expected to top the charts in its second weekend of release, earning more than $30 million. However, “Fly Me to the Moon,” a romantic comedy set against the backdrop of the 1960s’ Space Race, is on track to debut to $12 million. That’s a solid result for a movie aimed at adults, particularly one that’s opening in the midst of summer, a time of year dominated by franchise fare and animated titles.
However, getting Johansson and Tatum to meet cute in the halls of NASA wasn’t a cheap proposition. “Fly Me to the Moon” cost more than $100 million to make, so it’s probably...

Exclusive: At the height of Peak TV, Greg Berlanti’s career took off like a rocket. His Berlanti Productions had a record-breaking 15 shows on the air simultaneously, from DC properties like The Flash, Supergirl and Arrow to Riverdale and Blindspot. Berlanti will have six shows on air this fall, which gave him time to launch Fly Me to the Moon, starring Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, Woody Harrelson and Ray Romano. The rom-com pairs Johansson as a gifted but shady sales person trying to outrun her past, and Tatum as a fighter pilot-turned-NASA leader trying to help beat the Russians to the moon. She comes to Cape Canaveral at the behest of a Nixon fixer (Harrelson), hired to stage the moon landing for a telecast to run on global TV if things go awry. It’s the first film Berlanti has directed since 2018’s Love, Simon, a crowd pleasing theatrical release.

If Scarlett Johansson as a Don Draper-level ad executive wrapped in a Joan Holloway sheath dress and in a NASA screwball rom-com opposite Channing Tatum floats your spaceflight, then “Fly Me to the Moon” hits the target square on the head for blandly reassuring, disposable throwback fare.
And to the tune of a reported $100 million budget, it’s a rare studio comedy from an original script that’s not based on anything else — unless you’re counting Apollo 11, the first-ever successful man-on-the-moon landing led by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. But Greg Berlanti’s space race comedy puts an alternative orbital spin on American history: What if said moon landing was an elaborate hoax, and what Americans saw on all three major broadcast networks in 1969 was actually staged inside NASA’s 562-feet-tall Vehicle Assembly Building, with nothing but a crew of unaccomplished nonactors, some rock formations, and a replica of the Apollo Lunar Module?...

On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first human beings to walk on the moon. It was an inspirational moment for people all over the world. But some people are jerks, so they took that inspiration and quickly spun it into a conspiracy theory that NASA faked the whole moon landing on a soundstage.
Hollywood loves to be topical, so filmmakers latched onto this paranoid fantasy immediately. Only two years after Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon, James Bond stumbled across NASA’s top secret film studio in “Diamonds Are Forever.” The government hunted down O.J. Simpson to keep a fake Mars mission secret in 1977’s “Capricorn One.” By the time we got to the present day it wasn’t even a subversive idea anymore. It was just a throwaway gag in kids movies like “Minions.”

Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, Greg Berlanti and more of the Fly Me to the Moon team celebrated their upcoming film at its New York City premiere on Monday night.
The rom-com follows Johansson’s Kelly Jones, a marketing executive hired to “sell the moon” to America ahead of the Apollo 11 moon landing. When she makes her way to Cape Canaveral, Florida, to work her marketing magic, she wreaks havoc on launch director Cole Davis’ (Tatum) already difficult task of preparing for the space trip.
When the White House deems the moon landing too important to fail, she receives an order to stage a fake moon landing as a backup, in case things don’t go smoothly for Neil Armstrong (Nick Dillenburg), Michael Collins (Christian Zuber) and Buzz Aldrin (Colin Woodell).

If there were any suspicion that the Apollo 11 moon landing had been thoroughly exhausted cinematically: think again. For what it’s worth, Greg Berlanti’s breezy space comedy at least offers a fresh revisionist perspective. Here, advertising whizz Kelly Jones (Scarlett Johansson) is plucked from her cushy New York job and tasked with giving the underfunded NASA a much-needed PR boost in the run-up to that fateful mission. But that promising premise is squandered by a knotty plot that makes the film more complicated than it needed to be.
There’s a fun workplace romcom somewhere in Fly Me To The Moon. Kelly’s gung-ho approach to public relations comes up against the more practical-minded launch director Cole Davis (Channing Tatum), whose exasperation grows as Kelly wrangles Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins for Omega watch sponsorships and cereal adverts. But not even Cole can deny the power of good marketing,...

Trailers make “Fly Me to the Moon” look cute at best, when in fact it’s quite clever: a smarter-than-it-sounds, space-age sparring match of the Rock Hudson/Doris Day variety, in which the honest-to-a-fault NASA launch director responsible for sending Apollo 11 into orbit (a straight-faced Channing Tatum) goes head-to-head with a mendacious Madison Avenue spin doctor. Set during the first half of 1969, director Greg Berlanti’s high-concept screwball comedy values chemistry over history, bending the facts to suggest a fresh set of stakes for the operation, where romance fuels a rocket to the moon.
For decades, questions have dogged the Apollo 11 project. Who really won the space race? Did NASA fake the moon landing? Story credit goes to Keenan Flynn and Bill Kirstein, as screenwriter Rose Gilroy takes these doubts and extrapolates them into what the film itself might call an “alternative version” of events — one that puts authenticity itself on the line.

Bollywood Sci-Fi that came Before Kalki 2898 Ad. (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Before Kalki 2898 Ad stirred the pot, Bollywood’s take on sci-fi was an intriguing blend of masala, melodrama, and futuristic fantasies that offered a unique flavor quite distinct from Hollywood’s polished productions. Let’s embark on a cinematic journey through Bollywood’s space-time continuum and explore the iconic sci-fi films that set the stage for the much anticipated Kalki 2898 Ad.

Long before our B-town heroes were grappling with intergalactic villains, there was Kishore Kumar in Mr. X in Bombay. This 1964 classic isn’t what you’d expect from a sci-fi film today. It was more a rom-com with a twist – an invisibility twist! Kishore da’s character, after a series of bizarre events, gains the ability to turn invisible.

Ryan Gosling has worn many faces over the years. Being one of the most recognized and respected actors in the film industry, his works have become ingrained into the very fabric of Hollywood ever since he starred in The Notebook. Since then he has been a part of blockbuster after blockbuster, proving time and time again that one actor can play as many iconic roles are they want.
Ryan Gosling was most recently seen in David Leitch’s The Fall Guy | Universal Pictures
While he has always been an extremely respected actor, in the past few years, this fame has sky-rocketed to an extent no one could have seen coming. Gosling’s last five films have collectively grossed almost $2 billion worldwide. This number is extremely impressive as only superhero movies are known for hitting numbers this high. Knowing this, let’s take a look back and see what made these films so special.

Todd Howard serves as the CEO of Bethesda Game Studios and directed a handful of video games from different franchises like Fallout, the Elder Scrolls, and his most recent project: Starfield. Most of his games are massive and players can scour the map for rare collectible items to find.
The Moonwatch holds a special place in the heart of the director, especially after learning the origin behind it. It appears that love knows no bounds and his wife, Kim Howard, knew how to express her appreciation and gifted him a watch that means a lot to the director.
Todd Howard’s Generous Wife Impacted Starfield
Todd Howard integrated his personal experience into his dream project.
The director had high hopes for the project and gave it his all. He is quite optimistic about the release of the upcoming Starfield Shattered Space expansion and even gave away the potential release window a few weeks ago.

It’s time for some “CSI: Nielsen Ratings.”
CBS is set to win the 2023-24 season as the most-watched network — again — it’s now been 16 straight seasons of the same. CBS has now broken broadcast television’s longest winning streak on record, which was also CBS: From 1955 to 1970, when “Gunsmoke,” “The Andy Griffith Show,” and (some of) “I Love Lucy” ruled its airwaves.
Fast-forward 50 years to the current TV season, which runs from fall (September) through spring (May), and CBS has won 21 of the past 22 years. CBS is also poised to win the season among adults 18-49, long-considered the key demographic for advertisers, as well as its own target market, viewers 25-54. It is also number 1 this year among 18-34-year-olds; Super Bowl Lviii sure helped CBS pull those victories out of its football helmet.

Watch most comedians long enough and you’ll start to hear the same stories. But watch Stephen Colbert long enough and you’ll always find he has a new reason for audiences to fall in love with his wife, Evie.
On Sunday, April 21 at The Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California, “The Late Show” host and Ben Schwartz closed out PaleyFest LA 2024 with a wide-ranging and goofy Q&a that included Colbert retelling some of his career-best stories while gently negging his interviewer’s questioning style.
“I will tell you a question I have been asked before,” Colbert quipped, turning Schwartz’ first prompt back on the actor in a good nature. “It’s ‘What’s a question you haven’t been asked before?'”
“And Ok, we’re going to the next question, you guys!,” Schwartz said with a laugh.

On the morning of July 16, 1969, Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins sat atop another Saturn V at Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Center. The three-stage 363-foot rocket used its 7.5 million pounds of thrust to propel them into space and into history.
On July 20, 1969, at 10:56 p.m. Edt, Armstrong planted the first human foot on another world. With more than half a billion people watching on television, he climbed down the ladder and proclaimed: “That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.”
And now some 55 years later, NASA is preparing to send people back to the lunar surface. Scheduled for September 2025, the Artemis II flight test will be NASA’s first mission with crew under Artemis and will pave the way to land the first woman and next man on the Moon on Artemis III. Leo Woodall first came to prominence when he featured in season two of HBO’s “The White Lotus.” In that series, he played the, uh, “nephew” of Tom Hollander‘s character and made quite a splash in the role. Now, Woodall has gone from supporting player to leading man with Netflix’s new miniseries, “One Day.”
Adapted from David Nicholl‘s 2009 book of the same name (and the second adaptation overall after the much-maligned 2011 Anne Hathaway movie), “One Day” follows Woodall and “This is Going to Hurt” star Ambika Mod as two students (Dexter and Emma) who meet on graduation night. That chance meeting sparks an entwined relationship that encompasses friendship and lovers across a 20-year period as they continually meet on various July 15ths.
The result is a swooning, epic romance that hinges on the charisma of its two leads. Thankfully, both Woodall and Mod are up to the task.

Ryan Gosling is probably one of the best physical comedians of his generation. Writing these words a handful of days after the Oscars where, even though he didn’t take home a prize, Gosling won the night by belting “I’m Just Ken” in Margot Robbie’s ear, is to state the obvious. But it wasn’t that long ago when the actor was mostly renowned for playing remote and aloof characters. Think First Man’s Neil Armstrong, Blade Runner 2049’s K, and Drive’s, um, Driver. It’s thus satisfying to see audiences finally come around to recognizing the star’s stealthily hilarious comic timing.
Well, the cat’s out of the bag now, and with The Fall Guy following Barbie, it’s safe to say Gosling has transitioned to the groovy himbo stage of his career. Long may it last if it inspires movies as frothy and...

Three members of Hong Kong Cantopop band Mirror feature in this fiendishly watchable crime caper which steals much from Ocean’s Eleven and, oddly, Asmr videos
Here is a very silly and yet fiendishly watchable heist thriller that features three members – Edan Lui, Anson Lo and Keung To – of the Hong Kong Cantopop boyband Mirror in major roles. That’s worth knowing not because they break into song at any point, but because that explains the film’s prepackaged feel and why at least one of the actors, Keung To, feels so weirdly miscast as a ruthless gangster. But as with much of the plot mechanics in this film, it’s best not to think too much and just roll with punches.

Sunday’s Super Bowl drew 123.4 million viewers across CBS and Paramount+, according to preliminary numbers. That’s the most for any broadcast since Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot on the Moon on July 20, 1969, and the most-watched non-news telecast of all time.
Nielsen says the total number of viewers who watched any part of Super Bowl Lviii was 202.4 million, up from 2023’s 184 million.
The game was a good one — especially late — and that is the single most-important factor for a major sporting event to drive TV ratings. And yes, Taylor Swift certainly helped too.
The Kansas City Chiefs came from behind to defeat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime, 25-22. The game, which had been 10-3 in favor of the Niners at halftime, ended on a walk-off touchdown toss from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes to wide receiver Mecole Hardman. Prince Harry paid tribute to his mother Princess Diana on Friday night as he collected his ‘living legend of aviation’ award from John Travolta.
The Daily Mail reports that Harry, being recognised for his work as a helicopter pilot and gunner in the British Army, took to the stage at the Beverly Hills Hilton, where he spoke to Travolta of the actor’s famous dance with his mother at the White House in 1985.
Harry said: “I was just a one-year-old when you danced with my mum at the White House and now look at us.”
Travolta also remembered the famous occasion, saying: “Now I see you again under a new circumstance, on a new stage.”
Harry added: ‘The only thing left to do is… not dance together but fly together.’
Harry served for 10 years in the military, rising to the rank of Captain, and later founded the Invictus Games for wounded military personnel and veterans.

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, is set to receive the esteemed title of a “living legend” of aviation and join the ranks of notable figures such as astronaut Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong.
Prince Harry will be inducted into the prestigious group on January 19 at a ceremony in Beverly Hills hosted by John Travolta. The Living Legends of Aviation was established in 2003 to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the aviation and aerospace industries. Other aviation and aerospace icons include Jeff Bezos, Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Elon Musk and Saudi Prince Sultan bin Salman Al Saud.
Prince Harry’s recognition stems from his career as an Apache helicopter pilot in the British military. He served in Afghanistan from 2012 to 2013, where he undertook combat missions. I like Jitendra Kumar as an actor, and whatever he does, there is an earnestness that is very arresting. If not for the plot of a film, one can watch Jitendra to at least see what he does with his role. It seems, like Rajkumar Rao in recent times (another actor I like), Jitendra too has ventured to do something out and out ‘masala’ with his new film Dry Day, which is laden with song and dance numbers and a ‘message’ so as not to make the movie meaningless.
Recently, Hindi cinema has suffered from unengaging second halves in movies. The writers and director craft an engaging first half, but they don’t find an equally engaging and fitting rising action and climax to their story. Tucked into the official logline of Andrew Haigh’s heartbreaking “All of Us Strangers” are plenty of intriguing ideas. Mainly, there’s the revelation that Harry’s (played by Andrew Scott) parents are long dead by the time the film opens, and begin appearing to him three decades after they passed away. So stars Claire Foy and Jamie Bell, known simply as “Mum” and “Dad” in the film, are, what? Ghosts? Memories made corporeal? Dreams?
For Foy, those big questions weren’t the most thrilling part of the film. Instead, it was the chance to dive so deeply into a character that, even more than a year since the end of production — the film shot in the summer of 2022 in the UK — she can still conjure up intensely personal alternate realities for a woman literally bound in time.

“One more time: animation is a medium, not a genre. Animation is film,” Guillermo del Toro said last year. IndieWire couldn’t agree more, and yet animation — an art form that requires the most precise control of the cinematic medium — is continually disrespected.
Infamously, 2022’s Best Animated Oscars presentation featured several jokes about the nominees that, in the words of Phil Lord and Chris Miller, framed “the five Academy Award nominees for Best Animated Feature as a corporate product for kids that parents must begrudgingly endure.” The directing duo called upon the Academy to do better by animation. And this year’s ceremony largely delivered, with less jokes that belittled animation as kiddy stuff and a sterling speech from del Toro himself for his acclaimed stop-motion feature adaptation of “Pinocchio.”
Pixar and Studio Ghibli tend to spring to mind first when discussing great animation, but there’s a world beyond those two giants.

Panned by critics and hailed by audiences as one of the greatest horror films ever made, William Friedkin's "The Exorcist" is a classic that always finds its way onto the screens of viewers during Halloween season. The 1973 film, based on the 1971 novel of the same name by William Peter Blatty, centers on mother Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn), who is desperate for answers after her seemingly normal daughter, Regan, begins to act strangely after interacting with a Ouija board in their rented home. After an attempt to contact a spirit named "Captain Howdy," Regan's physical, mental, and emotional state begins to decline severely and quickly, and she becomes possessed. Overwhelmed with her daughter's aggressive persona and superhuman strength, Chris enlists the help of two priests to expel the demon from Regan before it kills her.
At the time of its release, "The Exorcist" was considered by many to be the scariest movie in film history.

64 years after its debut on CBS, no series has been able to match the consistency of quality or the rigorousness of thought that Rod Serling's "The Twilight Zone" demonstrated over its five stellar seasons. For many, the series' most memorable episodes set us on edge via science fiction or straight-up horror elements, but Serling and his roster of first-rate writers could be just as brilliant when using nothing but plain old reality to freak us out.
The Red Scare metaphor "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street" is probably the finest example of this (especially in an era where a massive blackout could easily plunge millions of technology reliant humans into utter chaos), but it's closely followed by the pilot episode that established the series as a one-of-a-kind mindf***. Written by Serling himself, "Where Is Everybody?" sets up as a post-apocalyptic nightmare. Earl Holliman plays an amnesiac who finds...

Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" has already proven itself to be one of the best films of 2023, and certainly one of the most quotable. Whether it's funny ("Do you guys ever think about dying?"), introspective, or memeable ("my job is just beach"), there are so many fantastic lines to choose as a favorite. During an interview with BBC Radio 1, Gerwig confessed that her favorite line reading is one of the film's most unexpected laughs.
Interviewer Ali Plumb said that one of his favorite line readings was when Stereotypical Barbie looked toward the sky on her drive and sees two Astronaut Barbies floating in the sky, and declares "Yay, space!" Gerwig immediately interjected with excitement, "Yay, space! That's my favorite, that's my favorite!" The line has gotten a huge laugh in every screening I've been a part of because the simplistic expression of joy is contagious. Space is something many of us are fascinated by,...
