Was a lifetime member of the world-renowned Actors Studio.

Alumnus of the AADA (American Academy of Dramatic Arts), Class of 1964.

Had three children: two sons and one stepdaughter.

In 1982, received the Los Angeles Drama Critics' Circle Award as Best Supporting Actor for his role as Jack Delasante in Thomas Babe's play "A Prayer for My Daughter," which was directed by Phil Boroff.

Had appeared in one episode of Birds of Prey (2002), "Nature of the Beast", after fellow Stargate franchise member Joe Flanigan, of Stargate: Atlantis (2004), appeared in the episode "Prey for the Hunter".
