John Andrews is a producer, writer and actor. He served as MTV's VP of Animation in the mid 1990's. He was hired to produce the series Beavis & Butt-Head in 1992 and went on to oversee development and production for Daria, Aeon Flux and MTV's Oddities: The Maxx & The Head as Supervising Producer. He co-produced the feature Beavis & Butt-Head Do America and ran MTV's in-house animation studio. He left MTV in the middle of 1997 to become Executive Producer of Commercials and Special Projects for Klasky Csupo where he remained for 12 years. In 2011 John became EP/Creative Director of 6 Point Media, a division of animation studio Six Point Harness. In 2015 John joined the Hollywood branch of Beijing-based DreamEast Pictures as executive producer and oversaw the development and first 52 episodes of original series Valt the Wonder Deer. In 2017 John produced animated segments for the Mandarin-language feature The Lady and the Tiger. In 2019 John joined Toronto-based House of Cool as its LA-based Executive Producer.
From 1996-1992 John was at Alvin H. Perlmutter, Inc. where he won three Emmys as a producer on the PBS series Adam Smith's Money World, consulted on a number of Bill Moyers' projects and produced the animation for IBM's Creative Spirit series. John started in television in 1984 at Luminous! Productions, Inc where he produced graphics packages for Showtime and The Movie Channel.
