Born and raised in Chicago, Cindy moved to California after receiving a scholarship to USIU in San Diego where she was a theater arts major. After a move to Los Angeles, Cindy was immediately cast as the character "Americana" on the 1980s syndicated television series G.L.O.W. (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling).
Cindy's acting credits include HBO's "From the Earth to the Moon", Nickelodeon's "Kenan & Kel" and dozens of national commercial spots.
