He was best known for his work on Captain Kangaroo (1955), providing the movements and voices of Mr. Moose, Bunny Rabbit, Dancing Bear, Grandfather Clock, and the Magic Drawing Board.
He studied art at Marietta College in Ohio, and was in boot camp when World War II ended.
