Alessandroni is a guitarist and vocalist. His distinctive whistle has been heard on numerous Italian Westerns. Alessandroni also founded the vocal group 'I Cantori Moderni'.

Alessandroni has co wrote many Italian Western scores, particularily the title themes. He was not always given the credit for this.

Federico Fellini nicknamed him "The Whistle".

Records 'live' versions of some of the film scores he has worked on as well as recreating one of his own scores. (1996)

He is the father of Alessandro Alessandroni Jr..
