- The actor Bernd Aldor learned his acting abilities at the theater school Carl Arnau in Vienna, afterwards he first worked as an extra on stage.
- In 1938 he was banned from the NS Reichsfilmkammer because his Aryan origin was not clearly verified. At this time Bernd Aldor was presumably no longer in Germany but in the nearby abroad.
- After the war he appeared in Vienna in 1950 where he died briefly afterwards.
- Aldor also notably appeared in the 1917 social enlightenment film Let There Be Light!.
- With the arise of the talkies ended his career, he only acted in few more movies like "Dreyfus" (1930), "Zwei Menschen" (1930), "Elisabeth von Österreich" (1931) and "Danton" (1931).
- He acted at different theaters and in 1906 he came to Berlin where he appeared at the Schiller Theater.
- He appeared regularly in the films of Richard Oswald and Lupu Pick, often in detective thrillers.
- He ceased to make films after 1931, after which he went into hiding, fleeing the Nazis.
- In the year 1900 he got his first contract in Znaim. There he met the then unknown Richard Oswald who later became a well-known director who also engaged Bernd Aldor for several of his movies.
- In 1932 he realised his only movie as a director for the Romanian film "Visul lui Tanase" (1932).
