For the week of December 23-27, Days of Our Lives spoilers focus on some Salemites celebrating the happiest holiday of the year. However, some are currently feeling the Christmas blues.

Joy to the World

Christmas is here, and Salem’s residents are taking the time to celebrate the holiday. Xander (Paul Telfer) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) enjoy the Christmas festivities. After a tough year, those two are undoubtedly counting their blessings. They have Victoria, Sarah is walking, Xander’s mom hightailed it out of town, Xander didn’t unnecessarily kill Brady (Eric Martsolf), and he still has 50% of the Kiriakis empire…at least for now.

Remember how Eli (Lamon Archey), Lani (Sal Stowers), Jules, and Carver visited for Thanksgiving? Well, they’re already back for Christmas. But the beautiful family has returned for another purpose, too. Eli, Lani, Abe (James Reynolds), and Paulina (Jackée Harry) are celebrating the twins’ birthday.

Days of our Lives has given fans hope that Abigail (formerly Marci Miller) will return to the canvas in the future.

Thankfully, the show recently wrapped up the fake Abigail storyline.

Now that Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) has reunited with her family, the door is open to bring back the real Abigail.

Clyde (James Read) may be in a coma, but as we all know, he could wake up at any time in the soap world.

AMC Networks is kicking off 2025 with a January lineup that includes season two of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches and Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale. Planet Earth: Asia, presented by Sir David Attenborough, premieres in late January on BBC America, and horror fans will be treated to Nick Frost’s Get Away debuting on Shudder on January 10th.

Shudder’s January lineup also includes the body horror Grafted and Dark Match, an action horror with Sara Canning and Steven Ogg.

Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone universe has lassoed another offshoot — The Madison — into development.

The show won’t follow the Dutton family as Season 5B of the flagship series awaits its premiere and farewell of sorts to John Dutton (Kevin Costner) and other characters, though Costner will not return. Deadline exclusively confirmed an offshoot of Yellowstone with Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser.

The Madison will follow the McIntosh family, a New York City family living in the Madison River valley of central Montana.

“The Madison,” the new upcoming series in the “Yellowstone” universe, has added four new cast members.

Variety has learned that Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Alaina Pollack and Danielle Vasinova have all joined the new Taylor Sheridan series. They will appear alongside previously announced cast members Michelle Pfeiffer, Patrick J. Adams, Elle Chapman, Matthew Fox, Beau Garrett, Ben Schnetzer and Amiah Miller.

The official logline for “The Madison” describes it as a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”

There’s good and bad news regarding more Blue Bloods shows. It’s on the CBS agenda, but nothing has been confirmed.

Chad was in an awful place on the Thursday, December 12 episode of Days of Our Lives. The mission to take down Clyde is over. Mission accomplished, sort of. On the other hand, Cat and Catherina reunited. For a minute there, Chad and Cat looked like they were sympathizing with each other. Has Chad’s justifiable attitude towards Cat softened?

He Cares, He Doesn’t Care

Clyde (James Read — who’s out at Days) was so close to confessing the truth until Catherina (Susan Elena Matus) shut him up by shooting him in the chest. While taking care of Weston is something, Chad (Billy Flynn), JJ (Casey Moss), and their families still have no closure where Abigail is concerned.

Wicked and Conclave lead the list of the 30th Annual Critics Choice Awards, earning 11 nominations each, followed by Dune: Part Two and Emilia Pérez with 10. The top four nominated films will go head-to-head in the Best Picture and Best Director categories.

The Brutalist picked up nine nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Adrien Brody), and Best Supporting Actor (Guy Pearce). Anora and The Substance received seven nominations, with Sing Sing and Nickel Boys scoring five nominations. Nosferatu, Challengers, and Gladiator II earned four nominations, and A Complete Unknown and A Real Pain collected three nominations each.

Winners will be announced during the Critics Choice Awards gala airing live on E! on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 7pm Et/Pt.

Dune Part Two and the musical thriller Emilia Pérez follow close behind, with 10 nominations each. The winners will be revealed at the Critics Choice Awards gala hosted by Chelsea Handler, which will be broadcast live on E! on Sunday, January 12th, from 7:00 to 10:00pm Et / Pt. It’s popes vs. witches. “Conclave” and “Wicked” both received 11 nominations for the the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards, which were announced Thursday morning. That put the two very different films in first place among nominees, followed by “Dune: Part II” and “Emilia Pérez” with 10 nominations each.

All four of the top nominees earned Best Picture nods, as did “A Complete Unknown, “Anora,” “The Brutalist,” “Nickel Boys,” “Sing Sing” and “The Substance.” Directors of the top four were also recognized: Edward Berger, Jon M. Chu, Denis Villeneuve and Jacques Audiard.

“The Brutalist” and “Anora” also scored multiple nominations, with nine and seven, respectively.

Overall, the results were similar to Monday’s Golden Globe nominations, with a few actors cited here that had been snubbed at the Globes — including Marianne Jean Baptiste (“Hard Truths”), Danielle Deadwyler (“The Piano Lesson”) and Clarence Maclin (“Sing Sing”).

The Critics Choice Association last week announced nominations in its TV categories, with Shogun scoring a leading six nods.

The winners across film and TV categories will be revealed during the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards, hosted by Chelsea Handler, which is set to take place on Jan. 12 at Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar and will air live on E! from 7-10 p.m. Et/Pt, with the show moving to the NBCUniversal cable network from its previous home of The CW.

“Conclave” and “Wicked” lead the tally for all movies for this year’s Critics Choice Awards nominations with 11 nods each.

The Cca, celebrating its 30th year, announced three of the top categories live on NBC’s “Today” which included the 10 movies in the running for best picture: “A Complete Unknown,” “Anora,” “The Brutalist,” “Conclave,” “Dune: Part Two,” “Emilia Pérez,” “Nickel Boys,” “Sing Sing,” “The Substance” and “Wicked.”

Among Hollywood’s biggest stars recognized for acting are Timothée Chalamet in best actor for his transformational turn as Bob Dylan in James Mangold’s biopic “A Complete Unknown” and Mikey Madison’s breakout performance as a stripper who gets mixed with a Russian oligarch’s son in Sean Baker’s poignant dramedy “Anora.” The supporting actor and actress categories include Kieran Culkin from the heartwarming “A Real Pain” and Zoe Saldaña from the Spanish-language musical “Emilia Pérez.”
