Keri Russell is down to revisit Felicity Porter’s life if a Felicity reboot were ever to materialize.
Amid a press tour to promote the new season of Netflix’s The Diplomat, Russell was asked if she would reprise her role of Felicity.
“I would totally do that if it was the right stuff,” Russell said in an interview to E! News.
Russell said she is still in touch with her Felicity co-stars Scott Speedman and Amanda Foreman, “who played my crazy goth roommate.”
“We all still talk all the time,” she added. “They’re like my total pals.”
When asked what Felicity would be up to in 2024, Russell said, “Mandy had a good pitch for it, actually. A really good pitch for, like… life wasn’t going great and, you know, didn’t work out. And she was supposed to be all these things. And then she bumps into someone…...

Felicity, the WB series that launched Keri Russell, Scott Speedman and Scott Foley to household-name status, is getting a fond look back after 25 years by its stars and producers in a new weekly podcast.
Dear Felicity, from producer J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Audio and Spotify’s The Ringer, will debut Wednesday, March 13, with new episodes arriving every Wednesday on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other major podcast platforms.
While most “rewatch” podcasts are structured in an episode-by-episode format, Dear Felicity will instead cover themes and story arcs, with topics focusing on Felicity, The WB, the careers of those involved, and how the television business functioned at the time.
Felicity starred Russell as a young California woman attending college in New York City. Speedman and Foley were her love interests.

It's been more than 15 years since the cast of Felicity was in the same room together…until now. Keri Russell, Scott Foley, Scott Speedman, Amy Jo Johnson, Greg Grunberg, Tangi Miller, Amanda Foreman and Ian Gomez got together in Austin, Texas for the Atx TV Festival and Today cameras were there to capture their gathering. Felicity aired from 1998-2002 on The WB. In the interview below, the cast talked about the earliest and favorite memories of the show, which for Speedman includes just meeting everyone on the pilot, and got to the bottom of the mystery of Russell's hair: Yes, it's still curly. She gets it straightened. "Hold on, there's a Brazilian wax and a Brazilian hair...

Dear Sally . . . The Felicity cast reunited at the Atx Television Festival and the nostalgia is overwhelming. Members of the iconic show's original cast, including Keri Russell, Scott Speedman, Scott Foley, Amy Jo Johnson, Greg Grunberg, Amanda Foreman, Ian Gomez, Rob Benedict, and Tangi Miller, gathered onstage in Austin to answer audience questions, reminisce over the series's controversial last episodes, and talk about a possible reboot.
After the revivals of other fan-favorite shows like Full House and Gilmore Girls, the idea of a reboot was definitely on everyone's mind during the cast's panel. According to Deadline, Foley previously said he wouldn't be interested in bringing the show back, but changed his comments while with his castmates on Sunday, saying he'd love the "opportunity to see what happened" to the characters. Speedman reaffirmed Foley's comments and said, "There's a way to make it work."
A reboot? It's starting to feel like 1998 all over again.

As the cast of Felicity took the stage at the Paramount Theatre for the 20-year reunion at the Atx Television Festival, the memorable, comforting theme song echoed through the sold-out audience. Fans of the then-WB channel, angsty college drama welcomed stars Keri Russell, Scott Speedman, Scott Foley, Tangi Miller, Amanda Foreman, Ian Gomez, Greg Grunberg, Rob Benedict, Amy Jo Johnson, and show director/executive producer Lawrence Trilling as they reflected on their experiences on the show. But amidst all the nostalgia, cast camaraderie, and behind-the-scenes anecdotes, the cast had a tough time recalling that multi-tiered series finale and Noel — er, I mean Foley backpedaled his thoughts on a Felicity reunion.

The cast of “Felicity” is coming around on a reboot. Star Scott Foley said that he had been resistant to revisiting the show until the cast reunited on stage on Sunday at the Atx Television Festival in Austin.
“I feel the show was so specific to the characters in that time of their lives,” Foley said, recounting what he had previously told a reporter when asked the question of a “Felicity” reboot. “To do it again would be an injustice to the show we all made and all love.”
But then came the “Felicity” reunion on stage at Atx, featuring stars Keri Russell, Scott Speedman, Foley, Greg Grunberg, Tangi Miller, Amanda Foreman, Ian Gomez, Rob Benedict, and Amy Jo Johnson. The panel kicked off with a clip of the series’ four-year run on The WB (1998-2002), now streaming on Hulu.

Before Star Trek was Fringe and Lost, and Alias and before Alias was Felicity. It may be hard to recall that genre wunderkind Abrams actually broke into television by making a splash in 1998 with the WB series about a college girl. Created with Cabin in the Woods collaborator Matt Reeves, the series is worth a second look given the storytelling, music, and keen eye for casting that first introduced to an armload of performers who have gone on to success, including repeat appearances in later Abrams productions. Or do you think Keri Russell’s cameo in Mission: Impossible 3 was an oddity?
Lionsgate has resurrected the first two seasons in newly packaged DVDs, both out this week. The WB knew that a female-skewing series with a high concept would be a good fit for their struggling network so when Abrams and Reeves turned up with the concept, there was excitement.

Keri Russell will star in FX's Cold War spy drama The Americans, the network announced today. Wonderful! The show, set in the D.C. burbs in the eighties, centers on Elizabeth and Phillip Jennings (Russell and a yet-to-be-cast co-star), two Kgb spies posing as suburban American parents. The show was created by Joe Wiesberg, who used to work for the CIA, so he probably knows all kinds of secrets. This is quite the pilot season for Felicity alums: Scott Foley was cast in The Goodwin Games, Greg Grunberg in a CBS comedy, Scott Speedman in Last Resort, and now this. Amanda Foreman and Tangi Miller, call your agents.

My Girlfriend’s Back is a cheesy romantic comedy through and trough. It has all the makings of a bad straight-to-dvd movie and takes it self a little too seriously. Inspired by the works of Tyler Perry, this mediocre story brings nothing new to the table and is actually kind of a drag to watch.
The film revolves around Dereck Scott (Malik Yoba), an up and coming lawyer whose life is going in a very positive direction. He is engaged to a very materialistic woman who comes from a wealthy family. It seems as though Dereck has everything mapped out. That is until his ex-girlfriend Nicki (Tangi Miller) shows up out of the blue. As the two rekindle their romance, Dereck must reexamine his life and choose between financial security and true love.
Malik Yoba of Cool Runnings fame plays the film’s protagonist and doesn’t do a very good job of it.

"The Walking Dead" is done with its first season, but fans of the comic book series can attest to the fact that there are stunning plot twists and excellent characters still on the way — not the least of whom is Michonne.
When she first appears in "The Walking Dead," Michonne is equipped with a samurai sword and two zombies shackled by chains. In other words, this is a woman who means business, proving herself capable of overcoming extreme adversity thanks to quick thinking and ruthless efficiency on the battlefield.
Because of Frank Darabont's affinity for the character, Michonne is a likely candidate to join "The Walking Dead" for season two. If she does indeed join the series, here are five actresses we would love to see in the part.

In case you were wondering what Tangi Miller has been up to…
Most will probably remember her as Elena Tyler on the popular late 90s/early 00s television drama Felicity – a series that was created by… drumroll… J.J. Abrams, who’s now quite the Hollywood hotshot. Matt Reeves was co-creator of the series. Reeves wrote and directed the 2008 monster hit, Cloverfield.
But back to Tangi Miller… she hasn’t done much. Her role in Felicity was supposed to be her star-making turn, but, once the series ended, she kind of faded… despite being named one of TV Guide’s “Sexiest Faces,” and Ebony magazine’s “Hollywood Hot Starlets.” The 35-year old has since appeared alongside Mekhi Phifer, in the independent film, The Other Brother (2002), Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood and Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Reunion.
Not exactly choice work there, but I’m sure the checks helped pay some bills.

'Actions' speaks volumes at Lifetime
Lifetime has ordered Class Actions, a pilot for a potential primetime series from Sony Pictures Television starring Diane Venora. Meanwhile, Illeana Douglas has been tapped to star in another Lifetime pilot. The hourlong drama, ready to go into production in Vancouver, will be executive produced by Deborah Joy LeVine (The Division), who also will script. Class involves a hotshot Manhattan lawyer who quits the rat race and moves to a small town with her teenage daughter to work as a professor. Venora (Heat) has been cast in the lead as the lawyer, while Tangi Miller (Felicity) plays a law student under the professor's tutelage.

A Little Inside
N.Y. Int'l Indie Film/Video fest
Playing like a rookie version of "The Rookie", the nicely cast film "A Little Inside" is well-intentioned family fare about a former pro baseball player-turned-doting single dad who gets a second shot at his first love.
Written and directed by newcomer Kara Harshbarger, the light drama is very much a TV movie despite its big-screen aspirations. With a much-needed tighter edit, it could have no problem landing in the Lifetime/ Pax/ABC Family ballpark. It screened at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, where it captured honors for best drama.
Currently earning his keep as a small-town mechanic, extremely earnest Ed Mills (Benjamin King) is constantly being reminded of his promising athletic past, though the widower keeps more than occupied bonding with his 7-year-old daughter, Abby (Hallie Kate Eisenberg).
But while they've traditionally shared the same love of the sport, Hallie is starting to cultivate more girl-type interests — like ballet. Meanwhile, Dad is wondering if it's not too late to pursue his old dream.
While Harshbarger's scripting occasionally lands a little outside — Mills' triumphant call-up by the Yankees strains credibility just a tad — she coaxes uniformly solid performances from her acting lineup, notably from young Eisenberg, who makes an impressive transition from pint-sized Pepsi pitchperson to credible dramatic performer, and Kathy Baker as the neighborhood meddler who's capable of making Martha Stewart look like an underachiever.
The Other Brother
Xenon Pictures
When all is said and done, "The Other Brother" delivers a satisfying, comic reversal of fortune along with several solid performances, notably top-billed Mekhi Phifer as a New York journalist in a perpetual struggle to connect with the opposite sex. What drags the movie down is first-time writer-director Mandel Holland's struggles with composition, editing and camera placement.
While worth a look, the film is virtually a student work with a professional cast. It is getting a theatrical release in L.A. and New York by Xenon Pictures, a home entertainment distributor specializing in black, Latino and Asian films.
One nice thing Holland has done is take a genre that must tire all but the most adolescent audiences — the black sex comedy in which fornication is all that's on everyone's mind — and defied expectations: Characters have depth, women are not witless, and the virtues of a monogamy are upheld.
The movie begins with two brothers. Junnie (Andre Blake), is Mr. Cool; the other brother, Martin (Phifer), is hard working, but his love life is a zero.
So Junnie sets out to teach Martin the art of picking up women. Meanwhile, Martin has become friendly with a beautiful neighbor (Tangi Miller) who likes him just the way he is. The only trouble is that hanging out with Junnie has altered some of his behavior.
While this premise is viable, much gets lost in claustrophobic camerawork in tight New York locations and poor-to-awful sound. Some problems can be remedied with a bigger budget. But, clearly, Holland is still in the early stages of the filmmaking learning curve.
