Bobby Axelrod and Chuck Rhoades will be going at it again for another year after Showtime renewed Billions for a sixth season.
Corey Stoll, who guest starred as Mike Prince, a social impact pioneer who poses a threat to Damian Lewis’ Axe’s dominance, has been promoted to series regular for season six.
The renewal comes as the financial thriller has not yet returned to production for its final five episodes of season five, which were interrupted by the Covid-19 production shutdown. Season five launched on Showtime at the start of May with a seven-episode run through to June. The network hopes that the remaining five episodes will air in 2021 with season six to follow.

There’s not much subtlety in Ron Howard’s vibrant day-in-the-life dramedy “The Paper,” a movie that literally works up to dueling (both physically and morally) newspaper editors, played by Michael Keaton and Glenn Close, who tussle on the floor of their New York City paper’s printing plant as the press hums above them. But if certain narrative elements of the movie felt blunt back when it was made in 1994, they now impart important messages with the kind of force required to cut through today’s noise, especially as they apply to the necessity of a free press.

Just in time for the bingeing boom, Showtime’s “Billions” will return with more of the greed, cunning, and first-rate performances that helped make it one of the network’s biggest hits. The series began with hedge fund billionaire Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis) mocking the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti), in the first of many verbal smackdowns between sworn enemies. By Season 4, the former rivals had teamed up to become best pals, completely upending the entertaining conflict that made the series tick.
According to Showtime’s synopsis for Season 5, however, the rivalry is back in full force as the two schemers must navigate who else in their ambitious world may be a snake in the grass.

There was no mirror jury, no biometric readings, and no voir dire, yet Bull Season 2 Episode 15 still turned out to be one of my favorite installments of the entire series thus far.
That was partly due to the incredibly entertaining push and pull between Dr. Jason Bull and crime boss Hazel Diaz played by the talented Roma Maffia.
Jason Bull is at his best when he is using his psychiatric talents to size up the competition, and in this case, that meant figuring out if Hazel Diaz was truly mentally ill or had been faking it for decades.
It turned out that Hazel put on a damn good show.
But as good as Bull was at seeing through Hazel's act, it was Ada Gabrielle Ramsden who was smart enough to not only call Hazel's bluff but bring in the right person to prove it.
Ada Gabrielle Ramsden: Will you testify...

That was fast! Just an episode after Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) kinda sorta non-traditionally proposed to Hanna (Ashley Benson) before conducting an unofficial ceremony in a tent, Haleb got married for real. While they didn't have the white dress or the diamond ring or a church full of guests, they did have Hanna's mom, the Justice of the Peace, and a couple of rings that totally worked. So they're married...and that's about all the good news we can give you. In tonight's episode, Lieutenant Tanner (Roma Maffia) took over the Rollins murder case after Furey (Nicholas Gonzalez) told her everything and basically excused himself, and Tanner really took things to the next level. Did you watch long-running FX drama, Nip/Tuck? If you have been missing the graphic, plastic surgery sudser since it was cancelled in 2010, you might be in luck. Creator Ryan Murphy is mulling over a revival of the series. During the "Ryan Murphy and Friends" panel at Entertainment Weekly's EW Fest, Murphy suggested bringing back the series with new writers and recasting the main characters with two female leads.
The original series ran for 100 episodes and starred Dylan Walsh as Dr. Sean McNamara and Julian McMahon as Dr. Christian Troy. Joely Richardson and John Hensley rounded out the main cast for all six seasons. Roma Maffia, Kelly Carlson, Jessalyn Gilsig, and Bruno Campos also starred. Who is Charles?
That's the question Pretty Little Liars fans face after Tuesday night's (literally!) electrifying spring finale.
Though we never saw his face, we know he's "A." According to the anagram from a few episodes ago, his last name is Dilaurentis. And based on the old film footage showing Mrs. D (Andrea Parker) playing with two little blond boys, we're pretty confident this is author Sara Shepard's twin twist come to life. But it's not Alison (Sasha Pieterse) who has the secret, evil doppelgänger – it's her brother, Jason (Drew Van Acker).

It’s not everyday that your friends are arrested for murder, right? Well, that doesn’t really seem to be the case in the Pretty Little Liars universe, where being accused of killing someone seems to be what all the cool kids are doing these days. And among the Liars’ growing list of concerns is the fact that contrary to popular opinion, orange is not the new black.
The most frustrating thing about Pretty Little Liars, and with this season in particular, is how quickly things have escalated. Not that A has ever been particularly harmless, or that the threat of police interference hasn’t always played its role in A’s schemes, but there’s always been a sense of A being in complete control. It seems that A is still pulling the strings, but so much of what happens to the Liars at this point goes beyond that.

Pretty Little Liars gave fans a much needed coping episode this week as the writers gear up for the summer finale. The first half of season five has went by pretty quickly, even though most of the episodes recently (gripping 100th episode aside) have come across as more of the filler variety. The Liars have had a lot of sordid opinions about their current predicament, but haven’t really seemed ready to act on any of the potential plans that they’ve bandied about – until now.
Since Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) return, the Liars have been juggling their own emotional baggage along with the newfound attention that comes along with being part of Ali’s post-disappearance posse, in the present tense as opposed to the past, for a nice change in pace. Unfortunately, it looks like Ali isn’t ready to give up the spotlight just yet – not even in...

She tries to defend her decision to ask Noel Kahn (Brant Daugherty) to break into the Marin house, but Spencer is not in a particularly forgiving mood. When Ali leaves to call her dad in private, Spencer tells Hanna and Emily that they need to keep Ali in check. Hanna begs Emily to let her stay with her instead of being stuck in a room with Ali, but Emily says no and leaves. On her way home, Emily stumbles upon Noel sitting in his car, listening to a recording of Ali and Shana, where she talks about things that occurred during her supposed ‘kidnapping.’

Aria (Lucy Hale) is apparently channeling all her guilt about Shana and directing it at Hanna (Ashley Benson) on this episode of Pretty Little Liars. It was only a matter of time before she found something to focus on besides her own grief, and Hanna’s current penchant for alcohol makes her an easy target. What it also does, is make it that much easier for A to get what she wants.
Obviously the text message from A was about ‘divide and conquer,’ a method that isn’t usually successful when it comes to the Liars, but Aria is playing right into his/her hand. Not only does she condemn Hanna for coping with the recent events in her chosen manner, but she doesn’t even hesitate before going off on her about the Zack confession. Hanna could have easily kept it to herself, and after listening to Aria’s self-serving rant,...

Spencer and Emily chased down a lead on Bethany and Mrs. Dilaurentis and Ali invited herself over to Hanna’s house so she could gain some credibility in Pretty Little Liars’ “Scream for Me.”
Detective Tanner Questions Ali
Detective Tanner (Roma Maffia) clearly doubts the story Ali (Sasha Pieterse) fed the police about her abduction, and Ali knows it. Tanner pulls her out of choir for a quick chat about Shana, asking her if she ever contacted her during her time away. Ali tries to gain control of the situation by pressing Tanner about who killed her mother, but Tanner clearly isn’t satisfied. Regardless, she leaves and Ali goes to inform Aria (Lucy Hale), Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Hanna (Ashley Benson) about her interrogation. Aria blames Hanna for spilling her guts at the café, and the group thinks that A must have tipped Tanner off about them being in New York.

A attacked Ali in her home and the girls receive more information on Bethany Young, the girl in Ali’s grave in Pretty Little Liars’ “Run, Ali, Run.”
'A' Is Back
After Toby’s (Keegan Allen) house blows up due to a “gas leak,” the girls receive a message from A: “Did you miss me, bitches?” Toby, who went off to make sure none of his family members were in their house, is fine and confirms to Spencer (Troian Bellisario) that everyone, meaning Jenna (Tammin Sursok) and his parents, are safe. Why blow up Toby’s house when they were all gathered at Emily’s like sitting ducks? Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) tells Hanna (Ashley Benson) that he doesn’t know. What he does know: “A doesn’t shoot and miss.”
A continues to fire warning shots throughout the episode, and the girls are also being hounded by FBI’s Lt.
