Investigation Discovery’s documentary series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV looks into the unsettling claims made against Brian Peck, the former dialogue coach for Nickelodeon. The four-part series includes interviews with former cast and crew members who talk about the alleged abusive and toxic behavior that went on behind the scenes of their popular shows.

Among them is Drake Bell, star of Drake & Josh, who claims he was molested by Peck several times as a child. The documentary also revealed that Nickelodeon directors Beth and Rich Correll supported Peck in his legal battle against Bell.

However, in a recent statement to Variety, they offered an apology, stating that “no words” could adequately describe how terrible “we feel” for Bell’s trauma and for being on the “wrong side of a horrific situation”.

Drake Bell revealed on the ID docu-series Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV that he was sexually assaulted by former Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck.

The series also dropped the names of people who wrote letters of support for Peck, so the judge would consider them in the sentencing. Some of the actors that sided with the convicted abuser, according to the docu-series, included James Marsden, Taran Killam, Boy Meets World stars Rider Strong and Will Friedle, as well as Growing Pains parents Joanna Kerns and the late Alan Thicke.

In a recent interview, Bell said that as of now, none of the 41 people who wrote letters in favor of Peck have reached out to him to apologize.

“I haven’t gotten an apology, or a sorry, from anybody that had written letters or was involved in supporting him at all,” Bell said in an interview on The Sarah Fraser Show podcast.

A Million Little Things is bidding farewell to its audience with a parallel to the first season, as the group begins to rally around a friend who is fighting for his life after a cancer diagnosis.

During ABC‘s Television Critics Association panel on Wednesday, showrunner Terrence Coli and executive producer DJ Nash discussed how they were planning to bring the series to a close.

“It feels like a bookend,” said Coli, in reference to how the show began with Jon Dixon (played by Ron Livingston) dying by suicide in the pilot and its impact on his close friends. “The friend group is going to rally around Gary [whose cancer returned in Season 4 but only Maggie knew about it until Rome accidentally stumbled upon his secret in the season finale]. They have been there for reach other and have shown up, through all the trials and tribulations.”

It is now official: the upcoming fifth season of ABC’s A Million Little Things will be its last. For the first time since its debut, Amlt did not land a spot on ABC’s fall schedule. It was held for midseason, so its expected ending would likely be announced as part of the network’s midseason plans.

When A Million Little Things in May scored an eleventh-hour renewal, Deadline reported that Season 5 was expected to be the final one for the serialized ensemble drama. The network did not confirm it at the time and has yet to acknowledge that Amlt will be ending this coming season, but that remains very much the case.

While ABC has been trying to keep things open — as we reported, the network had asked the Amlt creative team not to write the Season 4 finale as a series finale — the series producers accepted the Season 5 pickup with the presumption that it was going to be the show’s final chapter. That is how the season has been conceived and remains on course as a final chapter that is slated to premiere in 2023.

"I did not want to be looking over my shoulder every six months," the 64-year-old actress explains, "wondering if this cancer was back."

"Not an easy decision, but it was for me," she continues. "My husband was right there with me, he was amazing. Mastectomy was the only way to go."

They were the ones that comforted me when I was a kid. But when it comes to images of grandmothers, only one woman comes to mind: Maureen Stapleton.

Friends and family are still celebrating the life of Alan Thicke after the beloved Growing Pains star died unexpectedly last week at age 69.

Son Robin Thicke gathered with several family members as well as Alan’s TV family — Joanna Kerns, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kirk Cameron, Tracey Gold and Jeremy Miller — on Sunday night to pay tribute to their “father figure.”
