- Writer
Born to an electrical engineer and homemaker in Philadelphia, Michael
Selditch received a Masters in Architecture from the University of
Pennsylvania, and became a licensed architect in New York State.
Working for large architectural firms and freelancing on his own
projects, he practiced architecture for 14 years. Selditch also taught
architecture at Woodbury University in Los Angeles and later at Pratt
Institute in New York.
Discontented with the profession, Selditch began designing sets for theater and independent film in the early 90s. He moved on from there to write, produce and direct television and film.
He directed and produced his first feature length narrative film, Fixing Frank, in 2002, based on the stage play by Ken Hanes.
